There is no spiral, you maggot!
Dropping one place from 2nd to 3rd, in a difficult season, and still getting CL footy, isn't a spiral.
Failing to get CL footy for two seasons on the trot after having been in (and squandering) CL footy for two solid decades, and then sacking your greatest ever manager is a spiral.
As is winning the title in one season, and then battling relegation the next, and sacking your greatest ever manager.
It could be argued that you Chavs are in a spiral, too. Although, I now think of you as a typical yoyo club.

We've finished First, Twefth and Ninth Quents ... as much of a relegation battle there as a serious Spurs title challenge ... none![]()
I noticed Spurly conveniently dodged that ...Talking about that Leicester relegation issue. HIAG has got a bet that he lost to honour with you.

No we had a **** season, that’s obvious. But we’re talking about spurs here. You’re celebrating 3rd and no pot like you’ve won the league. You’ve even dedicated several threads to it.
When, by your own logic Spurs are in a spiral.

Who knows, Tel?
When will United win the title again?
Will they ever win it again?

I'm not sure that "celebrating" is the right word to use, in this context.
Clearly, Spurs fans are extremely happy about finishing, not only in the top 4 yet again (in a very difficult year), but above both 'Pool and Chavs, whom the media had been rating as title challengers.
It is evident that poor wums, such as yourself, hate the fact that we did that.
But, there you have it, Pix.
At the end of the day, it's all ****s and giggles, mate.
See my response to Skiddy's idiotic post.
Only a juvenile, third-rate wumster would consider Spurs to be in a "spiral."
As the person who invented and created the blueprint for "the spiral" wum-attack, I can assure you that finishing anywhere in the top 4 is not evidence of a spiral.
Being a "big club" and finishing outside the top 4 for the second successive season, and being forced by your brattish fan base into sacking your greatest ever manager, now ... that's a spiral.

I'm not asking when you'll win the league, I mean any trophy, it's just a long list of excuses.
You use the stadium excuse and I'm just wondering when the excuses run out and you actually blame the ****e on the pitch.
It would certainly be great to bring back a domestic trophy to christen the new stadium within the next 5 years, Tel.

5 years FFS![]()
Points on a graph, though, Bambs.
The overall picture, given enough time, will show a downward slope.

That's one thread.
It is hardly "celebrating."
Rather, that interesting thread opens a much-needed debate as to whether or not Spurs finishing 3rd is a cracking achievement, bearing in mind the handicaps with which the media burdened us, at the start of the season.
Once our stadium is finished, I think there will be a case to be argued that Spurs is now a bigger club than Arsenal.
Certainly, I don't see Arsenal as our natural rivals any more. Chavs and 'Pool seem to be closer to us than Arsenal.
I think that's a realistic and reasonable timeframe, Tel.
