When you put it that way I agree, but if they, say want to offload as directors back to the original board wanting out, in other words sell their share value, then they will either have to wait for new share holders to come along or put it to the old share holder for a value to buy them out, that money under those conditions would come out of the club in some way as a pay off.................<ok>

We should be very grateful to the Americans for having the guts to take us on when nobody else would.....They have done remarkably well since they have been here and made £60m available to buy players and it has been wasted this season. Just 28 goals all season speaks volumes.....Lessons will have been learned i'm sure and one of those lessons is that you can't sell your best players when under long contracts......Also we are all ecstatic when the club makes a profit, But that profit affects how we are doing on the pitch and we are always struggling at the wrong end of the table which we are not ecstatic about and most fans dont associate the two go hand in hand, That side of things must be looked at.......The Americans have done good things off the pitch and are green and still learning on the playing side and how important to get right on that side of things.....The club will survive with a lot of hard work and a few changes i have no doubt....

A message from majority owners Stephen Kaplan and Jason Levien.
This is a testing time for any football club, when its dreams and ambitions have been shattered and it is facing the harsh reality of life outside the Premier League for the first time in many years.

Nobody at Swansea City is making excuses, least of all ourselves. You can always point to injuries, suspensions, refereeing decisions that might have gone the other way, the rub of the green or plain bad luck.

But the fact is, the club has been relegated because we simply weren’t good enough over 38 games in probably the most brutal professional sports league in the world. The Premier League is unforgiving if you fall below its high standards.

There have certainly been mistakes along the way and it is down to the owners to shoulder much of the responsibility.

Our recruitment strategy hasn’t been good enough, we all recognise that and the blame for it ultimately rests with ourselves. But we are taking steps to rectify that and we will be bringing additional resources to that department during the summer in a bid to change and strengthen the way we operate.

Now, though, is not the time for rash statements or empty promises. We believe this is a time for everybody to pull together even through the heartbreak and bitter disappointment of relegation.

We know this club has not been truly unified off the pitch for a while even though the supporters who come to the matches home and away have been magnificent and gave everything in a bid to inspire the team. We cannot thank or praise them enough.

As owners, our commitment is total and the determination to regain Premier League status is our only focus. At the moment, it may be hard to come to terms with - but with fans, players and staff united in a common cause, we have to believe a return will be swift. Without that unity, we have very little chance.

We recognise the huge role the club plays in the community and its importance.

Perhaps the club has lost its unique identity, the special essence that made Swansea City different - better, in many ways - and we need to rediscover that identity both on the pitch and off it if we are to make the community proud of this football club again.

And take it back to the Premier League where we all know it belongs.

    Stephen Kaplan and Jason Levien

    Summary
1.The owners have made mistakes along the way
    2. Recruitment strategy isn't good enough
    3. The Club is split
    4. Their commitment is total. Really? Where have they been in recent months?
    5. The Club has lost its identity

Add to the above, a failure to deal with poor performers (Jenkins), a lack of investment and blatant asset stripping and its a pretty damning verdict of their record since taking over.

Easy for them to make a statement in the way they have, talk is cheap, but their actions tell a different story, it will be interesting to see what business dealings unfold to sort this mess out from them, will they get the right people in? if Bob Bradley is anything to go by, it could get very rough in the championship..................<ok>

For me supporting Swansea isn't about watching us play big teams, it's about supporting the Swans. My passion is the same if we are playing Chelsea or Chesterfield. That said I prefer seeing us do well in a higher league because it used to be better football.

I can not equate being a Swansea fan with the ranting against a group of people who saved the club from yet another bankruptcy or humiliation which was where we were heading. Yes somethings weren't done right and some people made money. Good for them, they initially took the risks and worked for years to improve our club.
The current group are not perfect but they are better than any alternative.

Therefore, with heavy heart I have call time on the forum and wish you all the best.

    Goodbye.

Do you really think the statement today from the Yanks has substance and is credible? all I am reading there are weasel words from soulless corporate drones who I have never trusted as far as I could throw them. unfortunately, we are lumbered with them until such a time they get bored or it gets to a point where for them it is about damage limitation

If you buy a multimillion pound company you don't "learn". You should know what you are doing before you buy it.

Do you really think they are as disappointed as any fan? That's a stupid comment - they are not fans, they are hard nosed business men. Their only disappointment is that they've lost cash.

The word commitment is easy to write....but if they were truly committed, they would invest in more shares in the club and make it solvent and able to buy what is needed. They bought an asset but that asset is not earning enough profit to re-invest and develop. When they bought the asset, they should have realised this or, maybe they were sold a pup?

Going back to what served you so well is the way to go.

Might take more than 2 years to unravel the current mess, especially the high and long contracts.

Two seasons should be ample time CCF with the right manager and should we persuade someone like Martinez to come back we could even bounce straight back up....Anything is possible......
