It's not the first time in the last season or two where the opponent's timewasting has been a catalyst for us. Last season both Swansea and West Scam thought they could run down the clock when they were leading, which led to us putting a couple of goals past them in quick succession (two in three minutes against the Scammers, three in six against Swansea)

It's just a shame the same couldn't be said for the game against West Brom earlier in the season, that game was asking for an injury time brace from someone...

you used to have these in the days when you had a manager who liked his team to play football rather than bore the punters to death

I wonder if any of the pundits have mentioned the odd statistic about Leicester's season
    * Began their season losing 4-3 to a "North" London team
    * Ended their season losing 5-4 to a North London team

Well somebody has to replace Motty...

Was at the game today - crazy match.

First half was flat. Inching forward and then we'd lose it at which point they'd knock the ball over the top for vardy to try and run onto. Again and again and again.

Second half was better - we sharpened our passing up enough though it really could've been any score.

Great to get the win and 3rd. Now onto a big transfer window...

Have to agree with Poch...we need that push from Levy to back him or we will struggle to get onto the next level

[QUOTE="Spur of the Moment, post: 11746359, member

And from Brian’s earlier comments, the Lesta celebrations after the 3rd were ridiculous and if it changed the course of the game then more fool them. What was the ref doing at this time?[/QUOTE]

They did it after every one of their four goals, and with most throw-ins, free-kicks, goal-kicks. Why are refs so weak in dealing with time-wasting? It’s a scourge of the modern game! Watch hockey, and see how it should be done - brilliantly non-stop!

Grabbed that photo yesterday of when Gazza came out. Couldn't hear a word he said though unfortunately, a mix of the terrible sound system and the fact he now tends to mumble his words meant it was practically impossible to catch a sentence.

What a crazy day to finish our time at Wembley, though. The fact we didn't have too much to play for means you can laugh about it now but that really was some horrendous defending by both sides. Although having said that, despite conceding four, I thought Hugo made some excellent saves and KWP looked fantastic - if that hasn't confirmed to Poch that we definitely do NOT need Aurier and his erratics next season then I don't know what will, two Prem starts for KWP and in my opinion two MOTMs. KWP is our future at RB and we need to start letting him progress by having him as the main competition for Tripps.

Lamela delivered the ultimate "**** you" to a fella who was sitting a couple rows back from me, typically never seen him at a game all season and yet for 30 mins of the first half Lamela was supposedly the worst player in world football and an utter "**** ****" according to this absolute tool. Funnily enough he shut up in the second half.

I thought Kane had his best game since returning as well, looked much, much sharper and his second goal was superb, the sort of stuff we've become accustomed too over the years with him.

Loved the chants of "We're going home, we're going home, we're going, Tottenham's going home!" to the tune of Three Lions by Baddiel and Skinner.

Great to see Jan pick up the player of the year award from senior members, completely deserved. Eriksen won the young member's vote and Wanyama won our goal of the season.

Well done, Spurs, 3rd place after 38 away games is a great achievement. Now get me back to WHITE HART LANE, BABY!
