Sorry buddy..... couldn't resist I'm afraid. I'm sure one way or another we'll be facing each other again next season, so I've gotta make the most of it while it lasts.
A lot will depend on the changes in the boardroom, Jenkins now has to go, would love to see a consortium with real passion for our club buy the Yanks out, they are simply low grade oportuinists might have a chance then, I do see the Yanks wanting to offload us now.............. We will be one of the richest clubs in the Championship next season, if that's any consolation our revenue with parachute payements will be arround £60+ Million, That's without our best players being sold which should fetch about another £50 Million, which is likely to go into the pockets of the Yanks as they bid fairwell...........
We'll be batting them off with a ****ty stick! Get real - how have the Americans ripped us off? And, how many Swansea loving businessmen would stump up, not just the £60million buy out, but the £400 million some fans think the owners should spend on players?
Now your being silly Bob, £400 Million? where the hell did that come from? Who stated a Swansea Consortium? As for the Yanks they ripped us off when they got into bed with Jenkins & Co.......... Remember this too Boby, The Yanks Investment just took a massive dip, their Club is now valued at a fraction of what they paid, so they are vulnerable to a take over, they will be crapping themselves and be happy to get SOME of their money back.................
Since the takeover we have spent in the region of £180 million on players and loans, comments are we need to spend at least double. And that it should be the American's money. So they haven't ripped us off. I think you really underestimate the sort of finances and power behind these people if you think they would sell for much / anything less than they paid. Their share value has taken a bang but unless they really screw up next season they are not likely to drop further. They are confident people who will back themselves to increase the share value or their consortium will be unlikely to invest in any other projects. But the question remains - who is going to stump up that sort of money given the few assets we have? Purchases backed up by loans? Mr Petty would love that option. Given there are no alternatives (and I bet if one turned up the people who have done nothing but attack the club for 2 years would object to them as well.)
Sounds great until you divide it into 3 seasons, not sure that wasting money that we got on player sales, can be credited to the 'Yanks spending', they have only bought out the old board, and have made zero investment into the playing squad as was promised, they are simply chancers, and while their background in finance and investment looks good on paper, their involvement in sports is petty and marginal too say the least............
I'd have thought that was obvious, well, apart from 1 brief year..... The Championship! No need to be touchy though fella. I reckon one way or another we'll probably be in the same division next year! Take it on the chin like a man and regroup for next year. One last note though. I've seen a lot said about your 7 years of Premier League in comparison to our 1..... Think you boys may still have a way to match our top flight seasons... football did exist pre 1992 you know!!
What’s the breaking news today dickhead? “Cardiff City are the only team to play in more than one Premier League season - and get relegated every time”.
Any trouble between the fans should result in a deduction of 15 points to both clubs as a warning. or just throw caution to the wind and play both games behind closed doors......
