Hoedt was the only player to fall asleep, without him not holding the line it would have been offside.


For Prowse, he won the ball back multiple times, created multiple chances by quickly and accurately moving the ball forward which turned us from being on the back foot to the team most likely to score.(which was redmonds biggest problem today as he gave the ball away so much) and he also had the one of the best chances of the match. He gave away the ball once that i can remember and the rest of the half he was spot on and energetic. one of the best halves ive seen him play.

Stephens let Jesus run by him. Regardless of what Hoedt was doing, Stephens should have been far more aware for what was going on around him.

 

nahh I thought Redmond played decently today. Good workrate, always attacked and back for defense. Just a couple of misplaced passes

The defence are a unit, and for those seconds, they weren’t. You could also say no one in midfield kept and eye on De Bruyne and left him to pick a pass.

Prowse gave the ball away too, I think Prowse had an advantage as Long was up front who’s very mobile. Prowse was good, but he wasn’t great.

Pierre was his normal self, he’s my favourite player, but I can’t repeatedly request him to be motm. I voted him as my play of the season after all.

I don't think we'd get what we want for either of those two, some I'm not even resigned to losing them.

 

Players Id like to leave:
- Gabbi (doesnt really fit in with out play style)
- Boufal (self-centered prick)

What we need:
- a creative midfielder
- an experienced centre-back
that's all we need I reckon

I don't really want Long to go, mainly for his Liverpool goal last year (give him a lifetime contract!) but also because he helps a lot in holding possession in the dying stages of the game

 

Quite a team walk round at the end of the game....how different it could have been. You'd have thought we'd won the league Great reception from the crowd.
