I'd love to see Martinez return. All of the work he did has been destroyed, who better than him to rebuild us again.
All his work was destroyed by Monk - limited player, limited manager, limited man. Looking back over CC's time I see tow games as pivotal Brighton - when he went for the win and got hammered, I think that cemented a returned to a more cautious approach (that said he didn't have a lot of choice given players and injuries). Southampton - when he stopped being cautious and took off Olsson. Hughes saw his chance and upped the pressure on the right with Long and supported by Gabiadini.
Bring back Laudrup and his inspired signings - this time the old guard won’t be there to undermine him
Bring back Monk our most successful premiership manager, This time there will be no old fogies to undermine him in his quest to play the Swansea way...
Bring back Laudrup - the only Manager to win a Major Trophy and the last Manager who had us playing the Swansea Way before Monk destroyed it by believing his own publicity
His way saved us and got us to our higher ever finish......Laudcrap was clueless as it was curtis that won us the cup and the only thing Laudcrap done was try to take us to court for an extra £2m and lost and will never ever return and rightly so. ...His football was the worst ever witnessed at the liberty so much so he was sacked and replaced by our captain who saved our season and who was that.....MONK that's who...What a legend....
The football under Laudrup was mostly great - you obviously were not at the West Brom match for example. As for Monk - future England Manager - don't make me laugh. He floundered at Leeds, was sacked by Middlesbrough and is now at Birmingham. No PL team wants him
The facts are there to see with no argument. It is on record, Laudcrap's football was so good the club had to act swiftly as we were heading towards relegation at a rate of knotts and you call that good football He was so good that the big clubs were swarming for his signature NOT...
My only concern he is will he have the ability/desire to rebuild the club from top to bottom in the championship? After all, he had it 'easier' in that the foundations etc were already set by both Roberto and Brendan.
I'd guess that it could appeal to him if he were given a free rein to bring in the players he wanted through Tutu...... Imagine the clamour for his services if he built a team (on the cheap) that bounded back to the PL...... It's a better footballing gig than working in the Middle East
Was there and it was poor as were two other games under him!!!! But given his injury list and schedule with a small squad that's forgivable.
