It is all done and dusted now so just accept it and look forward to next season in the championship.....I am...
This is a game that could secure our Premiership status. We need every ounce of pace and creativity ON the pitch, not warming the bench
What's to look forward to? poorer teams, poorer quality players in those teams, smaller crowds so less atmosphere, some of our better players leaving, smaller income from TV etc and no stadium expansion. The PL is regarded as the best league in the world not the championship so harder to attract better players or managers, attracting promising youngsters to our academy will be more difficult. On a personal note health problems and aging means that next season after 60 years of going to watch the Swans will be my last and watching it online or TV is not the same and gives a false view. So I repeat what.s to look forward to?
And I forgot people losing their jobs. Forgive my rant but I get fed up with people looking forward to a lower level as though it won't make a difference.
Could Citeh turn on the style? 16.09.2017 Watford Manchester City 0 : 6 Could we play without fear? 03.03. 15:00 PL Swansea West Ham 4 : 1 A slightly better defence on Sunday and we stay up. Highly unlikely but not a miracle.
I'll accept it when there is an R, standing for relegated, against our name, not when someone tells me to
There is plenty to look forward too....We have been pushing our luck for a number of seasons now and you could sense that we cant keep doing that and we were heading in the wrong direction.......The club loses the money not the fans so i'm not a bit concerned about that as it is their problem. The Championship is a great league full of much bigger clubs than us and it gives us time to blow the cobwebs away and sort out the club once and for all and start rebuilding again and that will take a good experienced manager and plenty of cash and it wont happen over night but i expect us to be pushing for the premiership again the season after next.....Crowds will drop but not as much as people think and they will come back when we start winning again...It is far from doom and gloom as this relegation was inevitable and a kick up the bum to those that run the club and they know now what relegation means and the money they will lose and they will want to get back into the top flight asap......But for the season coming we must rebuild and get the club back playing good football again and we will.. For the stoke game then it is an opportunity to show the owners and management what you think and dont go to the game as an empty stadium speaks louder than words.....
So it wasn't to be a case of 'Cometh the hour, cometh the man' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44095360 The signing of Sanches is a pretty sorry episode that sums up a pretty sorry season........
