Wasn’t that change made in 2012?!?

Now, now, old boy, calm down. Mr Ponsonby has a lot of devotees on the forum and his ranking of the forum’s 2nd favourite owner confirms this. It’s not fair to judge a chap by his ancestors and siblings, I’d say. If we did that most of us would have been carried away by the men in white coats yonks ago!

In Mr Ponsonby's favour (and standing as referee) must be the fact that he has horses barned not only in the county but also with Lieutenant Henderson. A man of such repute who only allows owners of the upmost virtue, with clean morals and total decentness through the gates of Seven Barrows. If Mr Ponsonby didn't confirm to these high standards he'd be turned away.

The SAS?!? Wasn’t that Alan Shearer and someone else???

Re Mr Ponsonby by the way (apologies for continually referencing him) he and the Lieutenant bow Commander Miller at Warwick tomorrow eve (8.30). Who tops who there incidentally??? A Commander or a Lieutenant??? But I digress. Commander Miller was entered in Newbury’s rich bumper, in March, but got taken out at the final declaration stage. Cost £22,000.

Very nicely bred (I meant the Commander…but so are the Lieutenant and Mr Ponsonby come to think of it) as his half-brother actually won that £50,000 Newbury bumper, won over hurdles and was rated a decent prospect prior to injury sadly intervening.

Nassau Board had an unfortunate experience in Waitrose Tewkwesbury. Bronwyn were not pleased.

    1. Quite right, Barney, one shouldn't taint the present with the rubbish of the past, and nobody can help their ancestors. Also, Ian Carnaby (whom I regard as one of racing's good guys) speaks kindly of Henry, so I accept that he's OK.
    2. I hadn't heard of Nass and the Waitrose Incident, and I'd be grateful if any forum member could enlighten me. Did it involve Baby Bottom Butter ?
