Swansea have decided not to renew Carlos Carvalhal's contract and Sunday's game will be his last. Unless he wins it 10-0, in which case I suspect the decision would be reviewed.
I would have thought that he wouldn't have been a bad manager to have in the Championship, as he did OK at the Wendies.
What's the betting that Swansea beat stoke 10-0, but Southampton get an equaliser against Man City in the 98th minute with the final kick of the game! I'd laugh me **** off.
He got 32 points in 24 games with Swansea, had he replicated that for a full season, they'd be in the top ten.
Strange results can happen on the last day of the season West Brom 5 Man U 5 Boro 8 Man City 0 in recent memory Although they tend to happen when teams have nothing to play for. But you never know.
Or like Marco Silva... The parallels are obvious - do the hard part with some great results and then **** it up against a relegation rival, at home, at the death.
BCC....Fair observation. Silva isn't the first or the last one to do that. City's got a history of its own of bottling it at the last knockings. Terry Neill in 1970-71. Appleton..the list goes on.
What's the likelihood of replicating a 24 game stretch over a full season? For an also ran team I'd guess almost zero. Over the last 6 games they have won 0 drawn 2 lost 4 GF 2 GA 10. Crap manager. Had a bit of a purple patch with new manager syndrome - after that?
I don’t know about at Swansea cos I don’t watch the Premier League but he defo should’ve done better at FC Massive. The forwards he had to choose from was ridiculous.
Or perhaps not... "The owners asked me if I am available to talk about staying. I said I need time to think." Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal will meet the clubs owners to determine whether he will still be in charge next season.
