To be honest, I am surprised that there seems to be substance behind this "rumour".

There are valid arguements on both sides which shows it is not an easy, or obvious decison. Perhaps this implies that it is an possibly an unnecessary decision?

Should the decision be to "progress" with a new manager, then I sincerely hope that he will be sucessfull, however for me there will a bitter feeling that "the Club" have not been loyal or true to their "new values" of stablity and continuity.

Let's see hpoe this will roll out, but it already has a lot of momentum.

Sorry everyone. Back when I thought a #QPR manager change would happen a week or so later than this, we scheduled a change of server for WLS, which is not ready and has helpfully crashed with the influx of traffic to a Holloway story that simply couldn't be delayed any longer.

Only the club can confirm stuff. They're getting rid of Holloway and want McClaren to take over. I expect they'll confirm Holloway going soon but that's their business not mine

Just saying we have a great first team coach Ramsey....and now a scout of great pedigree Penrice... If Ollie goes and takes with him...we are back to square one...
And what does it says to the kids he has been nuturing.
And paying Ollie off will seriously dent our careful FFP budget

Am repeating I am not happy...
    But come on uRrr

    Probably not a surprise.

    Possible replacements?

    Steve McClaren
    Mick McCarthy
    Chris Colman
    Alan Pardew
    ......

Good luck to him but onwards and we can look forward to winning an away game.

    From the Offy:

Ian Holloway has left QPR with immediate effect.

Holloway returned to Loftus Road for his second stint as manager in November 2016. During his time at the club, he oversaw 80 games, winning 26, drawing 14 and losing 40.

CEO Lee Hoos said: “On behalf of the Board we are hugely grateful to Ian for his incredible efforts during his time with us.

“He joined us at a critical stage as we looked to reduce the wage bill, bring in younger talent and remain competitive on the pitch at the same time.
“That is no easy task and it was down to his desire, love for the club and hard work that he achieved those goals.
“However, we are now looking to take the next step as we continue to work through what is a vital period of transition for the football club.”

Director of Football Les Ferdinand added: “We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Ian for all his efforts.

“His enthusiasm and passion for the club can never be questioned and we are immensely grateful to him for helping us during his time here.

“He will always be welcomed back to Loftus Road with open arms.”

An announcement regarding his replacement will be made in due course.

You may as well add Stephen Hawkings’ remains to that list of has-never-really-beens.

Is this really just that he wants a break after the death of his mother? Strikes me as strange as it's the end of the season, and he's about to have a break, and also, with all due respect, he's 55 years old, and so losing a parent shouldn't be that big a shock.

I'm inclined to think that not a lot of managers would actually be prepared to come to us. Therefore, now that we're managerless, I'd take McClaren of willing to come. Not that keen on Pardew. McCarthy wouldn't be too bad, in my opinion... with that said, the kinds of players we have would be better suited to McClaren. I feel McCarthy would prefer a more physical team.

People at the club know Mclaren, so you'd hope they will have some idea if he will be the right fit or not. He initially did well at Derby, but the temptation to sing OBZ to him will be hard to resist.
