Pretty sure The Mail is just designed to upset pensioners these days.

Quite underwhelmed and will be sad to see Holloway go but understand his reasons and the club’s.

Why start another Steve McClaren thread when one already exists?

Tonz has possibly seize on Hollaways’ circumstances to ease in a permanent replacement that at this particular time that suits all participants.

Timing is everything to ensure a smooth transition.

I just hope the club handles this with a bit of class.

It doesn't suit Holloway does it? He wants to continue.

<yikes> No chance. I want Holloway to be replaced so we can move forward however like you say let's hope they handle it well....but we are talking TF? If he does leave then he can hold his head up high as he did a job for us.

Probably not but he would surely acknowledge that his head is probably not in the right place.

Only to management, it may seem like their actions are justified.

For the rest of us, whether we like Olly or not, one would think the timing is poor.

If he is going then this was decided before the passing of his mum. I just think that it has been bad timing.
TF hinted something a few weeks back about making a decision that would upset some but was best for the club.

Ideally he’d **** off and let Hoos handle it competently.

I think he will be history as surely if there the speculation about his future was wrong then the manager or Chairman would just rubbish the reports. The fact that he has had a meeting and QPR are going to make an announcement would make me believe that he is offski.

I don't know mate he hasn't got his nickname for being clever at QPR? But totally agree the whole situation needs to be handled with respect. At the end of the day I might not like Holloways football but he is still a human being and a top bloke.

I love Ollie's passion for QPR and part of me would be very sad to see him go. I don't think McClaren is the perfect choice: he may be a spent force, and a better coach than manager. I would prefer a "bright young thing" with a track record (more than Ainsworth) but I doubt many are available that would be attracted to a skint QPR.

Nevertheless, I think McClaren would be a better coach and a better communicator than Ollie. I also think team selection would be more consistent, logical and comprehensible. Moreover, I don't think he would have persevered with the 3-5-2 formation for so long when it became clear that we didn't have the right players to staff it. There are credible reports that he was supposedly quite weak with players at Newcastle but I think he would carry more weight and be something of a draw at Championship level.

As much as I find the timing of this uncomfortable, I think McClaren would be an improvement.

I won’t be happy until we’ve had an ambiguous tweet about a dream manager incoming followed by Holloway signing a new deal.

That makes a lot of sense and looked at it that way it would be an improvement. I think the fact our squad is now fairly young and inexperienced would probably help McLaren have more clout in the dressing room. I hope if it happens Ollie is already aware and a mutual agreement was reached he really doesn't deserve to be stabbed in the back.
