Now who do you reckon can bring Swansea back up now that he's gone?

Garry Monk, Michael laudrap or bob Bradley.
But personally I'd go for Alan Tate with Lee trundle as no 2 .

I think Chris Coleman would be the fans choice but I'm not sure he would go there, it would be a poison chalice for him.

At least he'd be on 0 points from 0 games with a transfer window and a pre-season rather than the shower he was landed with ooop North.

They will do well to stop the rot and avoid a double relegation.

    Coleman would be a disaster.

Whoever is manager their fans will want him sacked by October.

Russell Slades available. Or is he too big a name for the Sox now?

To be fair to Slade, he cleaned the pot a bit even if he was not particularly successful or charismatic. If you remember, the squad was big, expensive and carrying too much wages. We survived and got the clean out. The Swans are going to need a good clean up and they haven't got any cash or fairy godmother to help them do it. Unless there are some hefty wages drops due to relegation, they might have too many big salary useless lumps that they can't get rid of or who won't go. it will need someone to clean things up and bring them back. Parachute payments exist, true but that is much less than the Tv rights etc and so their P&L will take a huge knock. Can they survive uhc a thing is the big point.

Watching Mourinio’s mob tonight reminded me of the Slade era, what a shadow of the great MU sides of the past....draws and narrow wins....infiltrated with the odd defeats! Boring crap IMO! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Loved this Championship this season, love the money that comes with it....but don’t like The Premier League! :emoticon-0103-cool:
It’s a bit like sex with Doris pals...the chase for her ticket was much better that the points accrued!

I must admit, there's some good banter on their board at the moment. Most are taking it in good spirit.
A few wummers from other boards being arses, but all adds to the fun.

Remote - can't be arsed to look over there TBH, and haven't for quite a few seasons. Don't know what it's like now but there were a few decent posters like Phil up for a laugh, but what goes around comes around - bollocks to them.

What's obvious is the lack of any jacks (except Swantastic) over here and in stark contrast to what would have been if we'd failed and they'd stayed up. They'd be crowing with the "bottlers" chants again - who are the bottlers now then?

Much prefer to engage with the Wurzels although unfortunately their failure to make the playoffs means we will have far less to talk about next season. Most of them are great and up for a chat apart from a caveman, a few offended flowers and a vicar running his parish....<laugh>

Been wandering the boards over the last month or so just seeing what's going on and dropping a few hand grenades.

To be fair, the banter on the swans board has been ok with the odd exception. A very valid point you make on the lack of visibility from them on our board.

As you say, a bit of a laugh on the wurzels board especially now the officiousness of a certain individual has subsided.

Good to visit the weeds board and mention bamba every now and then. Usually spices things up.
Sunderland have been surprisingly chipper under the circumstances. Lots of posts on the Fulham board but very few posters. Rare to get any response there.

Anyway, hopefully our new found status will pep up our board as the new season gets closer.

Hey remote - agree with all that about the forums. Leeds is a fun place to be if you're not thin-skinned - they can give it and take it no problem. Even the mods have a go - Elland who's actually an estate agent takes some flak but doesn't bat an eyelid at the comebacks.

The Fulham board has some very decent posters although a bit too quiet for me, whereas the Wurzels are a great bunch in the main except for a very few, but you are wrong about the "officialness of a certain individual has subsided" - no way!!

The guy runs the forum like an offended vicar and treats it as his personal thiefdom, and he certainly doesn't like visitng posters unless they pat them on the back - especially me! <laugh>

He had another go at me yesterday because I was "rude" to one of his little flowers for tasking him on something he'd posted about us - apparently now I'm a "nausious irritant"....<laugh><laugh>
