Normally a manager is sacked before terms are agreed with another manager & that shouldn’t happen as Holloway is still in charge, don’t make any sense to me, you would have thought with these so called rumours that the club or TF would make a comment denying these especially as TF has always backed IH & stability!

I don’t see much progression under Holloway and if he stays 15th position in the table would be about as good as it gets. If they are thinking of a change better to give the new man the summer to plan and prepare.

If we have no money to spend on anybody that's worth buying how can McClaren do any better than Ollie did?

I will support my team whatever...but I do need to say.
1 if true this is disgraceful. Ollie did everything asked of him. And I enjoyed watching us play last season for the most part... First season in about 5
2 if true this is again a disgraceful way of doing it. No respect for Ollie
3 If true McClaren...a man that doesn't really succeed....and his reputation is based on about 2 months when he acted as an ancillary coach.

Is there any mileage in the possibility that Ollie and McClaren might be able work together??
I suspect not but also wondered if Ollie was being moved 'upstairs'.

That would be my preference. Ollie to man manage and Maclaren to coach.

Possibly he could get more out of them by better coaching, motivational skills, tactics etc, what they get paid for. But I doubt McClaren would do better and also doubt he'd stay long anyway, he seems to move a lot. What about one of these decent Managers that seem to have been coming out of Germany? I think TF should be looking further afield if he really is going to pay Holloway off this summer. FFP and all.

It sounds good but would McClaren take that? He is quoted as saying he wants to Manage. Would Holloway accept it? Can we afford a presumably expensive Coach like McClaren?

The comparison to last season is interesting. We are three points better off, but 15 above the relegation places, whereas last year we were only 2 points off the drop. We look better because there are a lot of tragically bad teams in this league, and the end of the season wasn’t quite so anxious for us. I think, with the exception of a few younger players having a kick, we at best stood still this season, and tactically went backwards, playing 3 at the back for two thirds of the games even though it was obvious we don’t have the personnel for it. Next year we should be aiming for 70+ points, which means a lot more positive consistency.
This club cannot afford a confusing and bloated management structure.

Arguably there weren't more bad teams in this season's Championship, but more good ones. So the less strong teams were less able to pick up points. Probably a combination of the two imo.

If he gets sacked it could do him in with his mum & good friend Wilkins dying recently, too much to handle but hope he comes through ok at whatever happens with him.
