**** me, I thought I was alone on here. We sold the farmed out non-son who has just picked up one, two (?) player of the season awards at a premium club. Meanwhile junior has been given a pot of paint to give the bench he was sat on a bit of a smarten up. At a division 3 club. The last ten years we have seen a procession of very good footballers come and go. Junior ain't one of them.
Utter **** as usual Alex only made 9 appearances that season in the league. And some of them were alongside Harry. Daws and Davies were rightly first choice that season and played the majority of games but harry was getting eased into it as bcc says. Let it go now ffs
How many had Harry played in the Championship at the point? And how many had Alex played in the Championship at that point? Which of them - Harry or Alex - had previously been captain at a Championship club not managed by their dad but by another Man Utd legend who was regarded as one of the best players of his generation?
As do I. Autocorrect on a phone throws up some strange ones. What's your excuse for making out Junior to be something he isnti?
[ Bruce captained the side at the start of the 2009–10 season, initially because Gareth McAuley was absent through injury and loss of form, but manager Roy Keane confirmed in late August that Bruce would keep the captaincy even if McAuley returned to the team.[20] He fell out of favour with Keane, and lost his place in the starting 11. - he left in February 2010, - says it all really - captain for a few weeks then kicked out by one of the best players of his generation - good example
Yeah it is a good example. He had 20+ other people to choose from as captain. And one of the most influential, best performing captains in the modern era chose Alex.
Chester, oh who does he play for now? Villa, not a "little old Hull" as their manager called us. It speaks volumes when not even his dad hoover's him up on free. Got away with it here, guess he just didn't fancy trying it in at Villa.
I love that Junior somehow has this rep that only his dad plays him, despite the fact he's played for 12 different clubs and only 2 of them were under his da. It is almost like that preconception is utter bollocks.
He barely played for most of those clubs, there’s only actually three teams he played for in any significant way and only one was managed by his dad.
Hector, Aina, Tomori and Wilson have all now officially departed Hull City AFC. Cheers lads (mainly Harry). please log in to view this image
Aina and Tomori weren't too bad for us. I reckon Aina's gone back a better player than he started out as.
