Don't forget Junior's game against Liverpool when we beat them 3-1, he had Luis Suarez in his back pocket all day.
Burns tweeted an unnamed player said all out of contract players are off, at the awards last night. Not surprising, but not sure if anyone had mentioned it.
Of course they are. Even Moses, who never got his shot at the big time. Highest paid player next season will be Mannion (probably). The parachute money is to pay back Allamhouse. The playing staff will be paid for by gate receipts. It's your pesky faults for cancelling your memberships en masse. We have to cut our cloth accordingly. P.S. We ain't going anywhere, chumps. 24hrs ends when we say it ends.
Bang on the money Imp - lets see how long the manager keeps his Mr uber-Positive hat on once the penny drops. For myself, I don't give a **** - it'll still be Hull City and the away games that I'll attend next season will probably be, mostly, attended by the 'mouthy minority hooligan type'.
I bet there's a few managers of clubs similar in stature to ours currently rubbing their hands in anticipation of getting a current international in his prime for free and weakening a rival in the process.
Are fans of other clubs this melodramatic when players leave their clubs? Is it an internet thing? Thanks for everything Dave, you were great for us. Now, you’re dead to me.
funny season that - when Junior started we won three out of 20 games - when he didn't we won 7 out of 18 - next season we signed Maguire. farmed him out to Wigan so Junior could play then we got relegated - makes you wonder where we'd be now if his dad picked the best team rather than give his lad game time - as soon as daddy left he never played again so he left. no team in the top two tiers thought he was any good and he ended up as a bench warmer in League 1 - I suspect he leave this summer and end up playing in League 2 or the National League so he gets a game - only a few posters on here think he's any good. the rest of the football world know otherwise - even his Hull City teammates got pissed off every time his daddy picked him
I particularly enjoy the way he has concocted his own theories and then repeated them to such an extent - to himself - that they then become FACT.
which bits not fact - the start to win ratio is fact - the Maguire being farmed out is fact - the no one wants him bit is fact - and the players getting pissed off bit is fact - in fact it's all fact - so go on then which bit is not fact
‘farmed him out to Wigan so Junior could play’ He sent him on loan to a lower league side so a young, raw, talented prospect could gain first team experience and learn his craft better, thus benefitting him in the future. Like happens to almost every young player at clubs at the highest level.
he was already significantly better than Junior - Maguire was pissed off that Junior kept getting picked ahead of him http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-second-fiddle-Steve-Bruce-s-son-Alex.html
You keep posting that as if its some kind of evidence for Bruce’s motives for loaning him out. 1) loads of sports stories are absolute bollocks. I worked in the industry for years, I’ve seen them do it first hand. 2) But let’s assume it is true, what’s your point? Every single professional footballer in the country is pissed off when he’s not picked! 3) the article that you posted says Harry was dropped for a returning Dawson. You really can’t seem to grasp why young, raw talented players are loaned out from higher league clubs. You’d have a point if every single ****ing club didnt do it
Interesting debate. He’s just won both trophies in Leicester’s end of season awards. If there was a MVP award he would have won that bastard as well. He has represented his country since leaving us and there is a real good chance that he will go to the World Cup. How anyone can suggest his development was not properly managed is a mystery to me. I think Brucey had an eye for a player and knew how to get the best from them. Much like Dave Myler really.
Many, many better prospects than Harry have fallen by the wayside because they did too much, too early in their career.
We lost a good full back for nothing for precisely that reason. Too much too quick, career goes backwards. Whilst we on on about Alex Bruce. He was a limited player technically but never scared to put his body on the line and played for the shirt. So what if he was Bruce’s son. If Brucey had played his granny and she scored 20 in a season no one would have give a ****.
I think it will take a few more years before posters realise what a fantastic job, in all areas of the club, Steve Bruce did here.
he'd already played 166 games - stop talking daft - as soon as Brucie ****ed off Maguire played 25 times in the Premier League - Brucie only played him 17 times in the championship because Junior was his first choice when he wasn't injured
