Decided to work late (read: 6pm until well past midnight) to accommodate the game. Got to work and realized that I haven't eaten anything today beyond some pre-match yogurt. There may a snack run in my future...
Not been home long and I think that my heart has finally slowed down. Amazing atmosphere and the singing was often deafening so total kudos to the travelling fans. Redmond, McCarthy and Cedric I thought were brilliant and after Gabbi scored I calmed down completely. Surprisingly, no tears at the final whistle just absolute joy. Dusan seemed to appreciate the love he was given (a couple of "Dusan Tadic" chants and huge applause when he went off) and Oriol was on the verge of collapse, whether due to exhaustion or emotion, I don't know. I just to want to watch the goal and the celebrations at the end on repeat for the next 3 days. Oh, and even more important - I'm not a jinx any more!!!
Ironically we played less stoppage time this game than the Everton one despite the contrasting amount of additional minutes! Luck was with us tonight.
Didn't mean I was calm, just less of a nervous wreck than before the goal Strangely, the extra time flew by, too...
Well done tonight thought you would just edge it, we have no cutting edge up front, but we gave you a good game considering, if Jordan Ayew's shot had gone in it could have been different, great save from your keeper, Chelsea are at home and need the win tomorrow night so will beat Uders, we just need to finish off Stoke, which we will do, I'm confident of that, what I'm not sure of is will the gunners put on a show to send off their gaffer? no longer in our own hands, but in the lap of the Gods!.................
Well done mate - hard one for you tonight and your team put in a huge effort. As I said before, am a bit gutted it was you/us/Hudders as I like all those teams. Best of luck going forwards though. Class fans on this board too.
Commiserations. Any Swansea supporter that has come onto the board has always been up for a laugh. I personally think you'll stay up (not just saying it because you're here). With Chelsea playing for a CL spot that's in their own hands now, and Arsenal playing their last game for Wenger, I think you'll just about beat Stoke. Whatever happens good luck for next season.
