Same. I was so busy fussing about the game I forgot to take my food with me to the stadium. It's still in the ****ing office! Currently sat here eating caramel shortcakes because it's pretty much all I have immediately available.
Fortunately, Swansea never really looked like scoring and we just needed to take one of our numerous chances. We were super nervous but quality and determination saw us over the line. Feel sorry for Swansea, their fans on here have been so sporting, I wish them luck moving onwards.
Swansea need a 10 goal swing because of the +9 GD and the fact we have scored 10 goals more than them this season. Quoting Sky there, but always possible the rules changed and no one noticed.
I was too nervous to eat before the game and during the game, and my heads been too busy in the clouds since.
Feel for most fans in this position...hate seeing the inevitable shots of kids crying. Character forming though. Saints fans certainly have lots of character gained over the years.
Saw this on the Stoke forum and he's spot on: "Manager rescues team filled with players he really wanted shocker..."
Thanks guys, desperate times call for desperate measures and it was the only way I could attempt to contribute. I expect I will be serenely retiring after Sunday! Wow what a filip - great positivity and togetherness on here tonight guys well done, let's keep that elation.
I like the sentiment, but kind of disagree - I always thought we would be okay after the change of manager as long as we beat Swansea and Bournemouth as we have a good squad. I think in 1999 we got away with it with a relatively poor team but great spirit and signed Marian just in time
let me remind a few of my match thread but 3 weeks ago: After being robbed by catastrophic refereeing in our last 2 games we now meet Leicester, who along with Arsenal and Chelsea have no other goal than to humiliate a better team. Our vast improvement under the guidance of Mr. Hughes should see us get the first 3 points of the 12 we need to survive and be the basis for next years season. Of course it’s vital that the team has the full support of it’s supporters in this most vital of matches. The response to the desperately unlucky defeat to Chelsea will be paramount. Our undying, never say die spirit has already been shown by the uplifting words of so many: SaintMagic: Well Chelsea upped it and we couldn’t cope, what a surprise TomW24: No backbone. No fight. Pathetic bunch of prima donnas. Saintsforthewin: disgrace Beef: Crowd are broken, so are this team. Anyone not thinking we are down are crazy Thereisonlyoneno7: That is why we are going down. Number1jasper: Going down quite probably SaintinNZ: I'm sure we are going to get relegated this season History repeating: I came to terms with this season some time ago. Other games now are purely entertainment, no wishing or hoping. Timatoketchup: We are down. Of course there were a couple who broke the mold as usual: TheLiebherrLegacy: Bring on Leicester. SaintinSerbia: COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!!! Dell1964: Why? Have the Premier League called a halt to the season then? And some who seem to think that this isn’t a matter of life and death! Black: Worst thing is, my girlfriend is really starting to doubt that my wearing her underwear brings Saints luck. SaintinSerbia: I'll try that against Leicester (I've always wanted to) desperate times, desperate measures! Archersroad: Persuade her to wear your y-fronts. That might work.
I want to know why tweets with shots of Romeu's face are blocked on my computer for containing sensitive material. Not that ugly.
