Evening Gents/ arnt you glad its half time

Evening gentlemen,

Just created an account on here, I used to read to bbc forum pages every so often but never actually got round to making an account so seen this site and decided its time to have my say at last.

Anyway watching the match and its half time and even with my massive bias towards Newcastle, I cant really take any positives from this first half half we just haven't turned up.

Barton and Jonas in particular are capable of dragging us into this game but just seem unable to actually keep hold of the ball or pass to a blue shirt.

Has best had more than 5 touches?
I knew it would be a bad night when Shola went off, disaster!!!

Agreed that we're looking a bit gutless but to be completely honest, I'd take a point. We've not had the best of luck against Fulham in recent years so a point to keep us in the top half and morale steady will do me.

I would have taken a point coming in as well but just a bit disappointed with our lack of goal threat and pace.

Was never going to be a classic match cant remember the last time we played fulham and it being particularly exciting.

 

Speaking of pace, I wish we'd held onto Routledge and tried him up front. His delivery isn't that great but with his pace he could open up space for Shola/Best in and around the box.

Obviously we're going to be dull in attack after what happened and our lack of getting a striker in those last two hours (FFS) is going to make HBA's return even more important!

I was thinking, I even would have taken Lita as a stopgap, just for that bit of pace upfront, would have only been £3m and a decent squad player.

Im hoping HBA is the answer cos i agree routledge would be very nice to bring on right about now
