I'm with Eric as the appointment of disappointment killed our season. No way would Thomas have been worse than this. yes he was losing games but sacked when in 8th and only 5 or 6 points off top 6 Hecky saw us fall to 14th and finished 13th which is where we were season before last. Hecky seemed to lose some players in the process which means the majority of the first team

I have a very selfish approach to who goes up. I'd rather that it was the team most likely to give us trouble next season.

Derby & Fulham have a history of 'fits & starts' Championship performances, so I'd rather these 'nearly men' didn't go up.

Villa have spent a lot of money rebuilding & although more consistent than the other 2, are prone to lapses that could be exploited by us.

Which leaves 'Boro. Or more to the point, Pullis. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that if they don't go up this season, then they will be champions next season. Pullis will have had a summer to further shape the team into one of 'his' teams, and they'll have the right mix of bullying & magic to walk it.

Yup Turd - he did turn up and we went up. <ok> He's got a house a couple of miles down the coast from me in Ogmore-by-Sea.

His wife Sharon now wants to move up here from Cornwall - maybe they should consider that after a few months in the Prem. :emoticon-0105-wink:

    Squad for Burma:

Lonergan, Peacock-Farrell, Ayling, Denton, O’Connor, Pearce, Saiz, Phillips, Vieira, Grot, Ekuban, Struijk, Clarke, Diaz, Shackleton, Machuca, Hosannah, Rey, Dalby, Edmondson, Gomes, Nicell.

First team regulars seem to be in the minority in this squad. I personally would have preferred to give Phillips & Vieira the rest of the season off. I'd like them to be as fresh as possible for the start of the new season. Got to guard against burnout, like Vieira suffered from at the start of the season & Phillips for a large part of the second half. Do we never learn?

For what it's worth I would like Middlesborough to go up.
    2 reasons
1 I have a lot of respect for Pullis he is the manager we should have had in place of TC
2 They are a northern Club.

We still need to replace PH quick but haven't got a clue who would be suitable from the dross available.
    Good morning by the way

    Good morning Matt & all

Warnock wasn't backed by Bates in his time at Leeds which didn't help his cause. Any decent player was sold, losing Jonny Howson was criminal especially as he didn't want to leave Leeds, Jonny's brother still follows Leeds home & away, travels with the Fullerton branch I believe !

Stoke, West Brom and either Swansea or Huddersfield could all struggle next season
Fulham deserve to go up but I have an awful feeling they came too late with their magnificent run & may have peaked too early if that makes sense, they could freeze again in the play-offs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Boro' go up under the guidance of Pulis

BTW Matt all the mangers have written back to me and one or two have listened to what I have suggested Grayson took on Adam Smith and someone took on Matt Smith I to Warnock that he invited Chris Taylor who was playing for Millwall at the time to Leeds and make him a breakfast including black pudding! he replied he had watched him a lot and it was always wrong place wrong time

Think those that want Heck out better get used to it not happening. Surely would have been replaced before this end of season tour so any new coach gets a chance to assess the squad?

You didn't tell me.. it was perfectly obvious. He has failed to make it at both Brizzle and Charlton since then.
There are no plaudits for quoting the obvious.

Get yourself to Harrogate town on Sunday. its the one off play off final against Brackley and the winners are in what used the be the conference...
You can see Jack Emmet a young winger we let go that is better than anything we have...
Give me a shout if you go I will get you a pint or two... The Transdev 771 bus goes door to door from yours I think?
