So, we may well be seeing PL in the 'away' dugout next season. Unless of course he was only staying if he kept Stoke up!! Edit - I wonder what odds you'd get on WBA staging 'The Great Escape??'
Stoke are the first team relegated. Insane!! The bookies paid out on WBA relegation months ago! They could still stay up! I cannot believe that situation, what a fight, what a story! I'd love to see Pardews face!
A mate of mine's a Southampton season ticket holder and despite what conclusions you may draw from him scoring a goal, he's been no better for Southampton than he was for us. Occasional good game, but mainly sh!t. Flatters to deceive.
I am certain that if it wasn't for the goal line technology. Brighton wouldn't have been given their goal. That is a great development to the game.
I think the linesman had the same apathy for the final game as most of us. Roll on the world cup, transfer madness and the occasional summer sporting event for us to while away the barren months.
McClean scores a penalty to give Aberdeen the lead V Rangers. Edit - I saw a rumour the Stevie might try to tempt Wes North of the border. PS - just had a quick look at the comments on the Swansea V Saints game and i think I'd rather watch paint dry. They've also got my FAVOURITE refree - Michael Oliver!! #waitsfordubiousdecision
So after tonight's result - I think Saints survive WBA are relegated along with Stoke and Swansea are teetering!!! Edit - so Swansea play Stoke and Huddersfield play Citeh on Sunday. An interesting day!!!
I think Huddersfield have Arsenal at home on Sunday. Before that, they have Chelsea away. If Swansea can beat Stoke, it could be very interesting!
Any of this ring any bells with NCFC fans from today's BBC website on WBA's fate - 'Lack of firepower An absence of goals has left West Brom as the third lowest scorers in the Premier League this term. And their lack of firepower, coupled with a campaign that has not been quite as frugal defensively, had left them fighting an uphill battle throughout. Tony Pulis recognised the need for attacking reinforcements and signed Jay Rodriguez for £12m last summer, but the former Southampton striker has only managed seven league goals for the club. The top scorer of the last two campaigns, Venezuela forward Saloman Rondon, is yet to break the 10-goal barrier and has also registered just seven in the league this season. When Daniel Sturridge - a striker with a proven record in front of goal - arrived at The Hawthorns on loan from Liverpool in January it looked as though Pardew had found a promising solution to their problem. However a hamstring injury picked up against Chelsea on 12 February, meant that the England forward missed the next six games and has played just 21 minutes since as a substitute under Moore. So, it would seem that money won't necessarily solve our lack of goals!! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44046183
So Huddersfield hold on for a draw and Swansea are deep in the doo doo. All three promoted have stayed up!!! Edit - Lafferty and Naismith score for Hearts as they beat local rivals Hibs. #youcouldntmakeitup
