I caught a Latias just after Everton equalised.
Look at her colours , it's an omen, you'll fly to safety!

Part of me wants to say that I wish Swansea had a reason to come out and have a go at us. We need to beat them, ergo we need to score at least once. Our attack isn't exactly quality - and neither these days does it even come with quantity - so trying to break down 10 men behind the ball will be very difficult.

But then I remember a fundamental flaw. Swansea coming out and having a go, means our defence being attacked. And that doesn't end well.

(Look at today. Everton bring Niasse on and have a go, and suddenly we go from total control to complete panic and hands-to-the-pump; even when Maya was still on the pitch.)

Dunno; I still think that if we finish above Swansea, we'll finish above Huddersfield as well. They have a mere two goals in their past seven matches, and 0-0s are difficult to come by when facing the three of the five highest-scoring sides in the league. Had we won today, I'd be fairly confident of staying up, and even if we beat Swansea, I'd rate Huddersfield as the most likely to occupy the third spot.

Was just thinking that. We have absolute clarity on what is needed Tuesday, which oddly enough may help us.

Swansea are bad. We have some momentum. Given the right set of circumstances we could actually beat them quite handily.

Time to summon the ghosts of end-of-season Swansea-Saints matches past. A complete nothing of a game followed by a jammy last-second Saints winner.

That is a possibility, but if the ball is launched into the back of the stand, you are looking at burning off 15-20 seconds before the ball is even in the hands of the Everton player. In that time the defence reorganises itself.
Then you put players on those that might receive the ball, preventing the ball from being passed forward etc, further running the clock down.
Row z really was the best option, IMO.

We'll lose to Swansea, then beat man city and the swans will bottle it at stoke and we'll stay up. Calling it now.

Disappointed in one sense and I hope that we can pick ourselves up for Tuesday. However, isn't it nice to be above the line. Strange things happen in football and it is better to have points on the board :)

I haven't a clue. I don't recall how much time was added on in our last game or the game before and I doubt there are many records kept. 3 or 4 minutes seems to be what's normally allowed.

Could have done with Stoke getting point today, to keep them interested a bit longer. Gulp

I don't post very often....but a little thought for you all to ponder on. Not so long ago we were 5 points from safety - now we are out of the relegation zone. We have something none of the other teams in the relegation mire have. Momentum.

    It's in our hands...

They haven’t done 30 secs for subs from somewhere at start of season. Plenty of games where there’s been 6x 2nd half subs (individual) & <3mins. Ask @Tom24

It’s up to the officials when they want to stop the clock. They couldn’t restart play because Cedric was hurt. It does not seem unfair to say he held up play for at least 1 minute. Yo could arguably also add some time for Hoedt’s yellow card.

Could they have had only three minutes of stoppage instead of four? Or blown the whistle five seconds earlier? Sure. No one would have complained. But no one would have complained if McCarthy saves that shot and the whistle blows two seconds later, either.

Yep, us beating Swansea would make 'Udders favourites to go down presuming they fail to get any points away to Citeh and Chelsea. In that scenario they would have to beat Arsenal on the final day.
I think that Swansea will beat Stoke.
