Everything makes me feel old these days. This week it was memories of Istanbul. 2005? Jeez, I got old quick.

Joey Jones is a legend but was also a very limited player yet he was 1 unlucky deflection away from winning the treble in 77-78.

Too many people these days obsess about players individual abilities or lack of them when imo the far more important point is the team as a group & the assets they bring to it. The goal should be ensuring the team is greater than the sum of their parts.

imo he will be benched in every one and not be put on except to see games out.
