Another factor for this Everton v Saints thread is the glorius Liverpool being in the CL Final. Let me elaborate - If that were Pompey that were in the CL Final, whilst we played **** football we (Saints fans) would be really annoyed. I know Liverpool and Everton is not as hate fuelled as Pompey v Saints but the fact that Liverpool are getting all the headlines (more so than Man City FFS) etc will be another thing that annoys the blue half of Merseyside . so if you do actually think these things make a difference and I do lets consider the folloiwng - 1. Fat Sam is not loved 2. Everton are boring to watch and have been for 40 years 3. Everton Players have nothing to play for 4. Liverpool are in the final and eveyone loves them (not me mind) 5. Everton are ****e 6. Everon fans feel dismal 7. Car crime in Merseyside was at an all time low last night i hear. = Saints opportunity
Oh!! Dellhurst Park, what a day that was, fell asleep on the last train on the way back and ended up in Weymouth!!! No way back to Soton, met a random saints supporter called Jon who was on the same train and lived in Weymouth. Crashed on his floor! Great days!!
So only Davies out due to recurrence of injury...not unexpected, but shame as he may have had the character we needed. I wondered if Stephens would have some fall out from that nasty fall on his neck....sometimes things like that come out later. Let's hope Everton have a lengthy injury list....'cos I'm sporting like that.
Anyone else think that if Forster had been dropped at the beginning of the season, we maybe would not be in this position ?
Yes, Stephens didn’t make it on to the pitch! I’d like to think he’s enough of a team player not to sulk, he knows he might get another chance before the sesson’s out, especially against City when we will probably play 5 CB’s.
Other than a couple of spectacular goals, what end product has Boufal produced this season ? When he has been a used sub, I don`t recall him changing the game when he has come on. We can`t afford to keep on waiting for him to produce, and certainly not now. No loss to the squad, I`m afraid.
I've heard that after the bust-up, Kelvin Davis said to Hughes; "You're bleeding", to which Hughes replied, "I ain't got time to bleed", before spitting out his chewing tobacco. Kelvin then quipped, "Got time to duck?", before firing a grenade over the precipice above them, killing two guerillas in the process, and causing a fountain of debris to come showering down upon himself and Hughes.
You may have hit on something there, perhaps the last 2 seasons have all been a huge misunderstanding!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43944960 Lawro predicts a 1-1 draw, but also a 2-0 loss for Swansea. Then all goes downhill and predict a win for Stoke.
