He doesn’t inspire me this fella but it’s not his money so it’s sound.

I refuse to look at any of this negatively, regardless.

Some whoppa on Twitter saying that Repsol, Spanish fuel and energy company are one of the main backers.

Kind of lost his credibility when he said they, and some UAE involvement had a wealth of approximately £15 billion.

Repsol have assets and equity listed in excess of £90billion on their own, you’d think they’d do some research prior to spouting ****, unless the UAE involvement, which doesn’t exist, is £75 billion in debt of course haha.

    Interesting article

We managed to bank the parachute payments and the Pickford money while still making a loss - WOW

Also says the club reported a pre-tax loss of £9.9m

That probably equates roughly to Rodwell's wages, our share of the wages of the players we've out on loan from whom we also had no benefit on the pitch plus their associated on-costs. <doh>

It's also almost identical to the amount we wasted on the alvarez debacle

Pickford sale is part of the numbers.

Without the sale, we would have made around a 40m loss...

    U sure?

They are mentioning current factors in it such as Pickford.

So if they are talking about old financial figures and explaining them through current events they need their heads looking at

Very sure. Accounts are always published a year behind. Pickford left in this seasons summer window, His sale or any others from that window won't show on the accounts until they're next published.

Pickford was sold in the middle of the tax year 17/18, these books are for tax year 16/17

    Yeah, I've read it again.
They are talking about accounts for a year ending July 17

We must have sold Pickford just before we closed the books on that year :emoticon-0148-yes:

So if we’d stayed up we may well have broke even, even made a profit.

    Well played Ellis...
