Interesting update on the Ballot from AN...

Which leads us nicely onto the latest sham ballot. It’s causing considerable consternation inside the club, with no-one knowing what on earth to do about it. Needless to say, turnout was reduced from the previous vote, with City fans rightly boycotting a poll when the previous one had been disregarded on account of an inconvenient result. That Ehab is completely clueless about how to proceed will surprise no-one, but his subordinates are suffering equal paralysis and the mood is not good.

It means that at the time of writing, City aren’t especially close to even announcing whatever the result of the second ballot is, and don’t expect them to announce the turnout either (or at least truthfully announce it – though there’ve been enough complaints raised to the Supporters’ Trust to render the whole enterprise highly suspicious anyway). Which means that on the final day of April, no-one has a clue what a 2018/19 season ticket/membership will cost or whether concessions will be reintroduced. The rest of the Championship is eagerly imploring its fans to sign up; City can’t even tell their fans the basics about next season’s costs. It’s a joke, and those responsible should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

The only thing they can reasonably do now is issue new passes based on existing prices and structures. I’m pretty sure I recall that the club needed to give three months notice to change the prices, so unless they act in the next few days they can’t implement changes before the new season starts. And changing things mid-season would simply highlight what a clusterfuck it is that Ehab presides over.

    Is it not two months?

The notice of cancellation is two months and presumably, you should be able to cancel if the prices go up, before you're charged at a higher amount?

I messed that up, three months to put prices up and only two months to cancel, does allow you to cancel before prices increase. <doh>

It’s not really about cancelling though, it’s about changing the prices of the existing scheme before the season starts. They’ve only got a few days left.

Apparently, the ticket office are telling people that there'll be no announcement on next seasons pricing until after this season has finished.

    Interesting.

The club have to give "the Member not less than 90 days’ prior written notice of any such change".

This season finishes on 6th May. Next season starts on 4th August. 90 days exactly.

There's no way they can give everyone written notice of a change in time for next season. Realistically since the months are full months too then they can't really change until 1st September.

I guess things remain as they are for next season.

The speed at which memberships are being cancelled, the Allams will be able to personally ring every single member and inform them of the new prices.

Might take them a morning or so.

They have played a blinder haven’t they. Got through another season dodging decisions and without making any significant changes. All this while pocketing another years parachute money and forcing even the most ardent City fan away from watching the club that they love

I don't think they'd care if nobody at all turned up tbh , as long as they got the parachute payments

They are making their point. They don't care about the support. The dialogue has amused them, nothing more, other than spinning out their plan. The admin team is in the shadows and they await the final cash drops from the PL. Most of this was predictable, none of it was made better by the meetings. The summer will be soul destroying. No pleasure or satisfaction can be found in any of this, just sadness and a regret that they had an audience.

I was going to add a sarcasm along the lines of, morning? An hour should suffice. Then the grim realisation hit, your suggestion of a morning is neither flippant not sarcastic. The orrible fookin truth.

Why, do they think we're still in with a chance of the play-offs?

I don’t answer my house phone
One of them will have to pop round to tell me in person ... oh I so wish that would happen!
