And we actually played decent football under Keane as well mate, probably the closest (in style) that we've been to the Reid era imo.
Touch OTT but fair play to you, feel free to ignore me entirely if you wish but I've no dislike for Sunderland and my interest is more as a second team than a rival (though obviously I hope we stuff you when we meet, for once). What's with the prick thing?
You sure that was me? That really doesn't sound like me. Feel like I need to go back and check now as I have no recollection of that. Oh well, at least I know why you think I'm a prick now. It was the not knowing...
Appreciated mate. As an aside it's probably easier to be positive when you're slightly more detached from the situation but this weekend seems like a genuinely amazing turn of events for Sunderland. In fairness I can be a prick, I just thought I hid it better
I like many others it would seem enjoy Haslam's posts, he is an important contributor to the forum, much prefer people to talk football without the childish slanging matches that show no one in a good light, Sunderland or Newcastle imo.
I agree I don’t post much but he is usually spot on and genuine from what I’ve read just a football fan of the north east .
I'm surprised to see your comments @Paperback Ruiter about Haslam and Bradley. Missed them first time round. I'm pretty sure you've got him mixed up with someone else mate. Haslam's well respected here and if he had said something about Bradley I'd have thought he'd have been roasted for it but can't recall that at all.
He said nothing directly about BL however tried to deflect from his own kind's short comings by accusing me of using it to 'wum' I'm sure Bri pulled it up. To be honest I've read a bit of his content on here today and he's alright I suppose. I've even found myself agreeing with a post from his mate fredor on another thread. However as a rule I give little credence to a mags opinions on our club, be they negative or positive.
He needs excesive amounts of money to succeed, this is proven beyond doubt. Wrong fit for us. No thanks.
Mick mentioned on other thread, seem to remember Irishmen for Sunderland on this board,Keane, McCarthy,O'Neill,Quinn if any of them were in charge you wouldn't be were you are, just saying.
I think that Keane would be brilliant and give the same adrenaline shot that he did the first time around - probably be pushing to get back in the PL in 2-3 seasons. Not sure that it's fair to say he hasn't done anything since. Ipswich was mission impossible (though he still got them to the EFL cup semi final) and he's doing a great job at Ireland by all accounts of the manager and players where they've beaten Germany, Italy and reached the Euro knockout rounds in his time. I can't see that Keane would give up Ireland to work for an owner who just quick fired Coleman, though. He's had bigger offers (arguably) and turned them down, e.g. Celtic. I'm a United fan and I'd have him in charge in an instant!
