One of the drawbacks of this message-board during the course of this season has been the fact that you could effectively cut and paste the same message week in, week out. Even last week's trip to Wembley reflected the issues that had befuddled this season. I have got to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the football this afternoon and felt like the team finally remembered that fans expect them to put the visitors to the sword when they play at St Marys. It was not a perfect performance with the likes of Hoedt giving plenty of anxious moments but I felt that the team was starting to believe in itself again. Tadic was excellent and the attacking play was frequently very easy on the eye. Fingers crossed that we can get sufficient points to escape relegation. (or score sufficient goals that it is unnecessary to worry about the defence.)



I read with interest in the week that Leicester fans are beginning to become disillusioned with Claude Puel and today's pasting at Palace will not help his cause. Had he stayed, I think we would have still struggled but am somewhat sceptical that he would have pursued the same scorched earth policy with tactics that his successor chose to employ.

 

I love those two. I hope they have a baby together for our academy.

 

I'm still buzzing. The best atmosphere I've been in for a while too. So so gooood. My throats is sore but that's a small price to pay. A win like that, with Bournemouth not laying down and giving us the win, but us really earning it with the fight and desire could be very important going into the final games.

 

Watching the Saints today one thing struck me, we look like a team that lacks fitness. If they had started to play any deeper in those last 10 - 15 minutes they would have been in the carpark! Perhaps parking the bus has a new meaning? lol
We must pick up something at Eveton and hope Huddersfield fail on their tough run in.

 

We'll ride a 4 game winning streak into the Summer and finish on 41 points.

 

Amazing how one game changes everything...it now seems possible to get 3 points. We need to get out of the relegation zone and watch other teams crash and burn. Easy, isn't it

My after match beer tasted so much sweeter today and everything else was better too, starting with the much maligned fans, who supported the team unconditionally from first to last, the team, who were also well up for it and were much braver today. Cometh the hour, then cometh the man, Dusan rediscovered his form of two years ago, as i've always said, when he is on song the whole attack clicks, it just hasn't happened enough this season, Mario was a beast in the middle, he could be some player if he did it consistently too and Alex probably saved the whole season with his saves at the end.
The odds are still stacked against us, we will probably need at least one more win from two away games and a very tough home one, but we are still in there fighting and we are two games unbeaten now.
