I have a theory that as soon as Rafa mentions anything at all to do with a transfer window, everyone turns to ****.

Early in the season, we started badly, then after September did ok. As soon as the Jan window got mentioned around Nov we turned to **** again, only to improve massively in Feb. Now it's near Summer they've turned to turd.

That Murphy was a worse buy than Thauvin. At least Thauvin does appear to have talent.

The passing isn't up to scratch at all. Every attack just breaks down. West Brom defending deep doesn't help matters either.

TBF that's more 'like us' than not. Hopeless final third performance yet again. We seem to thrive when we're expected to struggle, yet do really badly when expectancies creep up.

Must be awful being Rafa at times. Gayle's having a stinker, Perez slightly worse and you look around to see Joselu.

Again at least Slimani looks PL, even if just mid-table.

We're Newcastle and once again we've been saved by January Signings, once again we hope for more, once again we'll be in the same **** next season.

What I will say is I didntd hear **** from the crowd until the 70th minute.
I know full well it's the players faults, I'm not an idiot, but this expectant attitude from the crowd whenever we play someone **** is getting depressing.

Kinda wanna just give up, keep my eyes closed and hope that the first team squad come the first match has no Joselu, no Gayle, no Ritchie, no Yedlin. We have some sub standard garbage.

Nah, come on mate - this is an almost relegated side full of crap players. Gayle floats around falling over like he's won a ****ing pepsi raffle to play in a PL match. Perez is dreadful - both him and Yedlin play five-a-side type football, expecting little flicks to come off against PL defenders, it's absurd. Shelvey had an appalling game as well, Diame was sloppy, the back four insipid. Kenedy did nothing, but shouldn't have the weight of the team on his shoulders. Murphy couldn't have played worse if he'd had a bet on it.

Season's over anyway, and it only serves to highlight how incredible Benitez has done to make what is probably the second or third worst team in the league safe in mid-table. The difference between Slimani and Kenedy, vs the shower of crap we saddled ourselves with, is astonishing. And Slimani/Kenedy aren't even top class.

At least Sky will be happy this and other results means there's still a chance for bottom 3 while others above them will be getting nervous.

If we beat Watford away next week we will almost certainly finish in the top 10 although that 5-0 win for Crystal Palace has made their goal difference a threat to that.

It's just amazing how vaguely similar the whole thing is to our last run this season. We became expectant, we dropped points against ****ter teams.
That's a **** team that beat manure and drew with Pool without the loan signings. We played west Brom at the worst time but it was, regardlessly, depressing to see the crowd like that

I think he's a young lad who needs a run of games which is difficult as the player s ahead of him have been playing well
Short memories on the thauvin front he was utter dog **** who never wanted to be here... .. Yes he's done fantastic now, but how many players at many many other clubs have done that.
Piss poor today and not exceptable .. But hey ho that's football for a toon fan.

we were **** today, couldn't put 2 passes together Yedlin not once tried to take on the full back and Murphy what did he do when he came on Both Gayle and Perez where victims of late tackles from behind both limping Dummet first bad game in ages Shelvey passing to the oppposition
Kenedy not taking on the man- it's as though they were told to just go through the motions

I talked about the standard of reffing and it would be an issue today having a ref never to officiate a premier game before- Martin Atkinson was forth official today
my point was proved right with Ritchie, wiped out with a late tackle in the box first half
I would also love to know how many minutes of football was actually played as the time wasting was obvious to everyone bar the ref

****ing hell I hate these bastards
