I just know Swansea are going to get something out of Chelsea.

 

Blooming great....just noticed that the Swansea match is a late one.....new prediction: We will win, celebrate for an hour, then watch Swansea win. Written in the fates.....someone has really upset the gods.

 

Chelsea... having ripped us apart for 10 minutes in the league, and destroyed our fa cup dreams - you just know they will allow Swansea to get something today

 

Made me almost spill my morning coffee. May use most of that in the car on the way up

 

If Cardiff are to be promoted, I think it is only fair that they swap with the other Welsh club, Swansea. Right....right

Just to add one thing about Shane Long. He's 31 now, it's time to stop describing him as pacey. If he was still fast he'd have scored against Chelsea, instead he turned a 1v1 into a 1v3, before kicking the ball at his standing leg. He chases stuff, but doesn't reach it, meaning he is never in the right position to do anything useful. Anyway, I bet we go back to 4-4-2 today.

 

As pointed out on Sky, the failure to send off Alonso in our league match means that we didn't gain the advantage of playing v 10 men but that he also misses the Swansea match which is important to us. Gypsy curse indeed.

Suggestion (hesitate to call it more than that) that the team has lost confidence in Hoedt. Haven't seen enough of him to judge (the view is very poor from under a duvet behind the sofa), but many on here will be able to. Have to say that it must be tough to think you are joining a good stable team and will get time to learn working next to experienced defenders and instead find yourself and your limitations exposed as a team free falls.

Last year I went back to the lovely island of Naxos for the first time since I worked there for a summer, 22 years ago (stay with me).

It was surreal walking around, seeing everything familiar, but different. I felt like I was in Back to the Future 2 when Marty went into the future and Biff had his empire (please stay with me).

Today, I will go to St Mary's vs Bournemouth for a Premier League game with a similar feeling. Familiar surroundings, familiar relegation battle, but our 'rivals' Bournemouth could put the final nail in the coffin.

Weird, just weird. Or maybe last night's gin hasn't worn off.

Hoedt is a worry, there is an error waiting to happen and he looses concentration on who is is supposed to mark. Wont go into the little shove he got last weekend that buckled him in two to allow Morata a free header. Today I would certainly go for Stephens and Yoshie as our CBs if we go four at the back
