He won't be having a party in his honour though.... Player of the Year event cancelled Queens Park Rangers @QPRFC Share article: QPR's 2016/17 Player of the Year event has been cancelled. Tickets went on sale for the event last week but a lack of sales has resulted in the event being cancelled. QPR CEO Lee Hoos told www.qpr.co.uk: "We are naturally disappointed that we've had to cancel the event. "I have spoken to a lot of fans over the last 18 months about their desire for the event to return, but it seems the price point is still an issue and therefore we've been left with little option but to cancel the event." Supporters who have purchased tickets have been informed and will be entitled to a full refund.
Both of those articles are from last season mate. As for this season there hasn't been one stand out player for me. If I really had to give it to one player it would probably be Onuoha at a push. With Smith a close second. The original post would've been better if it was in a poll / voting format.
Smithies?.........Has to be Ned?................Too much time out inj + the Hull nonsense. Robinson? Too much time out inj but 3rd place for me. Bidders? Only been decent the last 5/6 games. Lynch? You having a laugh? Luongo? Bit like Bidwell, only been any good last few games Freeman? 2nd for me. Lots of assists. Opposite to Bidwell and Luongo in that he has been poor in last few games but this is over a whole season. Scowen? Don't rate him as much as others do. Too cocky and too many bookings.
That all seems about right for me too. Freeman carried most our attacking impetus earlier in the season. Smith has had a big impact on a lot of games albeit not in the most stylish of ways. I'd add Robinson too but only if he signs a new contract. Smithies has been good but not as good as last year.

We’ve only had six players achieve more than two goals and one of those is Mackie. That really needs to improve.
Athlete’s foot, I say “****” too much, prone to the occasional bout of depression though none for a while, one bad knee but I’ve been hitting the weights hard recently and it’s been ok plus an immense dislike of Jordan Cousins.
