That's good news, if we offer what we can and they turn it down, then fair enough. But at least we've tried.
Looks like a fairly long list of other players could also be leaving their respective clubs this summer, so we could well be approaching replacements for departures should contract talks not progress well. Also noticed that there are already lots of half decent players already available on a free - Mbia anyone? Surprised to see Alex Song, Seb Bassong and Wollscheid all available, thought someone would have picked these guys up.
I am just beginning to hope that players start to realise that only a select handful of them will earn the big bucks and the rest are here to earn a living without the chance at the “Big Time Clubs” and that these players will realise as more and more big time Charlie’s drift out the game because of over the top wage demands and no takers that decent to good players start to make realistic wage demands that allows them to continue to play at a reasonable level while earning a still way above average pay packet, thus allowing the smaller clubs to retain or sign decent players who’s only wish is to play the game they love. But as with everything else in this game it’s the hope that kills you !!!
Thats one hell of a long first sentence Turks. Just for fun i tried to say it all out loud in one breath but i almost gave myself a coronary
Oops , was typing in a rush and to be honest I normally re read it and put punctuation marks in where required if I have missed them, but I only had a limited time so didn’t. On the other hand glad to see you survived my fitness test regarding breathing, could you please send my fee to the British Heart Foundation !!!
I agree...We are now attempting a form of "moneyball"... Buy cheap and young, develop and sell on. Only if by some chance we develop a nucleus is a good team all at the same time will we take a gamble to keep it together and make a push on. We will be buying players to develop ( some will, some won't).no oldies on one last meal ticket now... Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
Happy for us to be taking much of this approach, but you need to have some experience within the team (a good leader anyone? please!!). We also need to have a plan A tactical team - getting players who are able to fit into this formation; along with players talented/smart enough to work a plan B. We would all accept that there will be some who make it, some who won’t. But we need to see potential, talent and players prepared to play football like it’s their life (I know that a player prepared to play for the club is an ideal that has fallen by the wayside). And please... INVEST IN EXCELLENT COACHES to back this up. Have a strategy Rs and follow it through FFS - walk the talk.
Agree we need some quality in the team, with experience from PL or Championship. Especially so if we don't retain Ned or other of our first team regulars who are becoming fairly experienced at this level now - for example Freeman, Scowen, Robinson, Luongo, Smithies, and Smith. If our team next season is packed with youngsters some with League 2 or League 1 experience, we'll most probably be fighting another relegation battle in a years time.
Word on the street is Iniesta is coming our way But will refuse to play against Barcelona if it happens
Just seen confirmation in the Offy that Ned is leaving. I am not surprised but slightly dissapointed.

It would have been too idealistic for him to stay on a much lower contract. I hope that he he gets a good send off which he deserves. Plus we need to move on.
Yup... Was not not offered enough cash to stay. I think I might be offered a much better season ticket price at a promoted club....or even a mid premier league team. So I am off too...I expect a good send off! Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
