We certainly weren't great today but we weren't terrible. The problem was quite clear in that there was no outlet whatsoever offered by Agyemang. It's actually quite amazing that the bloke got another chance after an equally piss poor showing last week. I thought the defence looked decent given the whole back line had to be moved about, Derry and Faurlin kept it simple and often were better than the Wigan midfield and Buz and Smith worked hard but lacked a bit of quality and Taarabt on another day would have scored twice and was looking good. Honestly though, it's crazy that we had to pay £20 (well done to Wigan for the low prices by the way) whilst Agyemang got to watch the game for free.
Ok ive made it home via 3 pubs and sainsburys. On reflection I think the initial disappointment has made my assessment overly critical. I standby my view that the players are good enough to compete with Wigan but the discipline, passing and fitness was piss poor. Buz should really study the video of this one. As for dave well it's not exactly his fault he's pony but why not start with Jay and bring Dave on if he was tiring? Positives - Abdul tarant was on form and looked good The lad Andrade was pretty cocky with the Ronaldo stepovers Paddy was strong as always Jay was my Qpr mom I feel let down by the squad performance and if you watch the whole match you'll see that Wigan retain the ball which we didn't I am gutted but looking forward to a moussaka and a gigondas so it's not all bad. Lastly I found the food counter service at half time a total disgrace. To offer hot dogs when you only have rolls and no 'dogs' is laughable and then to run out of the 'chunky steak' pie is inexcusable! I have emailed Wigan on this point as that and the rain ruined my day
Yes, he did... and he signed them with the resources he had at the time... didn't we win the Championship with that team? Your point? EDIT Reading this again, I'm even more at a loss to see how your comment is fair. The manager has been jerked around by the Goons for a season - then superbly (even with the players at his disposal) got us promoted having spent the entire season in the top 2, and then spent the pre season having to wheel and deal in the free/loan market because he has no budget and is constantly under speculation that he is about to be sacked. Frankly I think we are lucky he is still here - and but for a virus, our 'options' up front would be fine.
You know what, Warnocks a **** and we should sack him. I don't care that he saved us from relegation, I don't give a flying **** that he got us promoted. He signed Hulse, he didn't go out and rob a bank to buy some players before the season started, we've lost two games and now he starts buying some really good players. Well you might please some people Warnock, but not me!!! I think you're a disgrace, how dare you blame Mr Briattore and Mr Ecclestone, those men are heroes and saved this club and gave us Boutique football, which you have tried to ruin. SO do all of us true Rangers fans a favor and do one. The sooner we get Mr Ecclestone and Mr Briatore back, stop spending money and trying to play football, the sooner this club can get back to what really counts, I'm just not sure what that is.
Yes the virus is fair point, but I was trying to say there have been some donkey signings. examples given, Also I though Amit ran the club for a year? Having seen only MOTD Perone (another 'recent') still doesn't look to good. I'm really still totally confused about gorkks and still pissed of we sold him so soon, today he may have made the difference and marshalled our defence a little better. maybe not. I'm not really one to subscibe to blind faith and tribalism. I say it as I see it. My dad supports blackburn so I suppose it could be worse.
Today's result ruined my weekend, but do you know what? We are back in the Prem, and i'm going to bloody well enjoy it. Ok , todays result was not very nice, I had the hump for hours, but next up is Newcastle then Wolves, Villa,Fulham, Blackburn ( Mackie returns and scores the winner ) And then Chelsea!!! Or we could be back playing Stockport, Barnsley ( on a cold Tuesday night ) Doncaster... etc... this may be the case next season... but lets stop moaning, we're where we want to be! Plus we're making signings that the rest of the Prem.. bar the top 6....will be so envious of! If it works out, then great, if not... we still have our beloved QPR!
