I went hamilton as he hasnt won in 6 races and never won here. So Laws of F1 say he will win this easiliy
Now that's how you do a GP thread, properly. I hope that other ****er who has been doing it lately takes note.
Mercedes & Ferrari to dominate until Torro Rosso get the call to collide, cause a safety car just as the RBR's are coming around the penultimate turn and the others have passed the pit lane entry
Like Rosberg says, Lewis always bounces back so I've gone for him this race. I've gone for Lewis every race so far and he hasn't won yet, so come on Lewis, keep up this record
it'll be interesting to see the difference in sector times here, not really sure who to put my tick with.
Looks like McRenault need their 'new' car asap. McLaren's Fernando Alonso was seventh quickest, 2.2secs off the pace and 26km/h slower on the straight than Ricciardo, who uses the same Renault engine!!! Max needs to calm down. Seems like he is getting too wound up and just trying too hard. Interesting that Merc were running ultra-soft tyre while others round them were using super-soft to set similar times. Hopefully they are actually trying to sort tyre issues out early on a weekend. Then again I think they only really have lots of sets of the ultra-soft tyre so maybe that is all they have for practice!!! I bet Mercs strat guys have been working overtime recently as this circuit is sure to have at least 1 safety car indecent.
Great shots of Vettel and his steering wheel. You could see a bar graph of, I think, electrical energy. Left was red, little yellow and rest green. You could see harvesting and green bat increased. Then on the main straight you could see the green bar reducing from full at the start to about 50% by the braking zone. So looks like they have a fair bit in reserve. I wonder if that's part of the 'quali mode' Ferrari seem to have found recently? What ever seems like they are using less than 50% of the stored electrical power for the massive main straight. I wonder if they can only use the red for a 'push to pass' or holding off someone behind them? I wonder if it's a question of limiting the 'battery' damage by extracting too much energy but they can do it a limited number of times before the 'battery' will be beyond it's life span and be replaced? All very interesting, well to me anyway
