Playing a team with nothing to play for is IMO harder than playing one with something to play for. Hull have been under pressure, now they aren’t. They’re scoring for fun and will want to end their home campaign in style and give their fans something to look forward to over the summer. I reckon City beefing to win up there will play into their hands; they’re good going forward and have goals in them. Tomorrow is our best chance of a win. Isn’t it? Pressure is as much on Derby as City; that may suit City. Start with Madine & Paterson to bully them at the back, soak up a bit of early pressure, then bring on Ken and blitz them 2nd half. I’m thinking my too much; the pressures getting to me
Secured an unexpected 4-3 in this corresponding game last year on a Tuesday night....hoping for the same again!
The Forest game had Warnock's style all over it. I think we will get the result. Thing is we won't score for fun so it will be a 1 goal margin. Stressful!
I think most neutral football fans of your game tonight hope you get 3 points. Should you win Colin, magnanimous as ever, will say 'Justice has been done'. He won't be wrong.
Derby County boss Gary Rowett will wait on "one or two" players to prove their fitness for this crucial fixture in the end-of-season promotion bid. The Rams are point behind sixth-placed Millwall with this game in hand, but have lost their past three matches. Second-placed Cardiff City can create a four-point gap between themselves and third-placed Fulham with victory. There are no new injury worries, while defender Jazz Richards available for the first time since January. This game was postponed back in March after snowfall had put areas surrounding the stadium an "unsafe condition". Cardiff boss Warnock plays down bad blood with Derby Match facts Derby have won only one of their last six home Championship matches against Cardiff (D2 L3), losing 4-3 last season. The Bluebirds have kept one clean sheet in their last 10 league visits to Pride Park, a 3-0 win in November 2011. The two Championship meetings between Gary Rowett and Neil Warnock have both ended goalless, between Birmingham and Rotherham in February 2016 and in this reverse fixture in September. The Rams have not lost four league games in a row since a run of five back in November 2011. No side has won more games on a Tuesday in the Championship this season than Cardiff (7, level with Fulham). Dave Nugent has not scored in three consecutive league games since January 2014, with Leicester.
Facts and stats , count for nothing, it's all about tonight . Who wants it more , I know who needs it more . A loss would be heartbraking , which would also put us under intense pressure against Hull . A point would be not much better than a loss, as again it'll be all down to beating Hull, which could be a very big ask.
Derby are saying that if they don't go up this season there will be big cuts in wages and playing staff. I think they are under more pressure than us.
OK, more surprises... Madine in for Ken. .. Jamie Ward starting... and most worryingly , Bruno at right back again! Please Neil have worked your magic again....
