That's the crux of the matter and it's not their fault but the fault of the recruiters.

Are we ever likely to have players capable of matching an inform Man City, just having just won the league at a canter but having a point to prove after losing to Liverpool in the Champions' League?
They have an off day and we are top of our game we can get points otherwise it will always be damage limitation.

    No it hasn't.
Away maybe but the Liberty support has not been good.

neither has been the football, they go hand in hand regardless, even at the Vetch there were always sounds of discontent

Probably not, but I expect a bit of bloody effort against them.

That's the point. We know they can play to a standard that can take on big teams and win sometimes but these past few months The only thing that has been exceptional has been the support at home and away with the important stuff has been well below our standard and putting our club in a precarious position that we could lose our premiership status and as far as i am concerned it is self inflicted and Carlos and his players really need to shape up as this is the last roll of the dice to put the club back on track towards safety, I am not expecting anything from the Chelsea game other than a good performance but a point would be most grateful.....Our most important chance is the Bournemouth game where it will be tough but we must go for 3 points to keep us in front of both Saints and Stoke going into the final two games where you know they will be well up for it where we cant predict what will happen. .......Please Carlos forget praising every club we meet and do your homework on them instead and get your players well motivated that they are good enough to beat anyone......The fans are doing their bit now you and your players do yours....

TBH in the situation we find ourselves I'd rather a performance like than where, Fede aside, we have a full an fit group available for the games we have a chance of getting points.
Had Ayew been sent off again or Olsson been injured our chances in the final four game should be reduced.
I've completely put the Man City game out of my mind, I hope the players and other fans do the same for Saturday.
