Well, I thought I'd be an honourable **** and allow you a day to get over the anguish of yesterday, before the jokes and banter begins.

    Let's draw a line first -
    1. As much as some of you are absolute twats, it's hard not to admire the commitment to the club that the Sunderland page is still amongst the most active on here.

    2. It's quite an enjoyable jeopardy that Sunderland are 1 season off a competitive fixture with Hartlepool... but also 1 off a competitive fixture against us!

    3. The club will rise again, it's too big not to. Just like Leeds, we will never be rid of SAFC, make no mistake.

Now we've got through the formalities...

    <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh> You useless ****s.

I think the pinnacle was Darren Bent getting a goal... It took most of his energy to get off the bench and put his kit on, how the **** is he scoring???

I heard there were fans fighting with stewards after the Burton game, and I thought... hmmm... "fans... plural? That can't be right!"

I look forward to all the "boring" and "tedious" comments, because after watching Sunderland this year, supporting me would obviously be a massive upgrade...

However grim and inevitable a relegation or poor season can feel, we can never be apathetic, unfortunately!

I would have loved a bit of apathy during those derby defeats

Ah the old fake apathy shield to pretend the club is not causing a huge amount of embarrassment and pain.

Mind its a good job it is fake, because if everyone took the apathy route the club would be ****ed. Supporters are never tested more than what Sunderland are going through right now. Those that desert the club aren't supporters at all. It isn't Short's club as Nads pointed out.

You could switch around the old Albert Einstein quote though not a perfect fit. "The world won't be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything". If the fans want the club to fold then by all means give up on it and let Short run it into the ground. They'd do well to take a leaf out of Newcastle's book who have been dealing with a terrible owner for 10 years now. We've stuck at it, continued to support in numbers and its played a big part in bouncing back. Yes Ashley has thrown more money at it, but Villa threw money at it too and got nowhere. Its not a time for the fairweather types.

Other than that you're an absolute clusterfuck of a club and it is hilarious for the rest of the footballing world <cheers> Particularly us in black and white.

But your relegations came late in the day from results which weren't really expected with squads more than capable getting out of it so your shock factor was very real. Our last two have had going down written all over us from the second transfer windows have slammed shut. Believe me, Anybody is capable of apathy under certain circumstances.

But dwindling attendances is forcing Ellis to get shot at any cost asap. It's helped him realise that when the tv money has gone the attendances won't save his investment. Doubt he'd be quite as willing if we were packing the ground out. Mock funeral, turning your back to the game, planning 85 minutes walk outs for a month in the run up to a fixture only for none of you to do it. While packing out your ground and your owner is still there, safe in the knowledge another relegation will be sustainable under fans who hate him but support him to the absolute hilt. We've voted with our feet scuppering any long term plans. it's not a year since Ellis pulled the club from the market(which carried over 100m asking price) declaring a commitment and a plan, to today and he's willing to give his club away. Relegation hasn't helped of course but the fear of a lack of attendances when he'll need him is defo putting a rush on things.

Protest with your feet and you get results. Your panto ****e has got you nowhere through a decade of protest.

Our problem is it took most of our fan base far to long to realise how poisonous Short is to our club.
