Shame really. Arguably our tactics worked well only to be denied a decent goal. And then, who knows......?

 

Even stevie g and lamps say it was a clear goal, says it all really.

 

Yup. I think Chelsea had a bit of luck but I wouldn’t really say we were unlucky.

Chelsea only played for 10 minutes last week but managed to beat us.

Seeing people saying the players lacked effort today. I disagree. I saw good and resolute defending in the first half and good attacking subs in the second half. What has undone us, is lack of quality in crucial areas. Yes some players weren't great, but most never lacked the effort. You can rectify the problem with a players effort, not much can be done about their quality.

To be fair showed a lot of spirit second half.

 

That basically sums up our season. If you can't looked ****ed in-front of almost 40,000 fans in the semi-final of the most prestigious domestic tournament in the world, you're not exactly going to suddenly get the desire to give a toss playing away or home against the likes of Swansea or Bournemouth.

 

Think people are getting confused between effort and quality...Lack of quality shows up more then a lack of effort imo.
