No idea why Bednarek was taken off and not Hoedt. Has been great in the air and won most things against Giroud.
So many disappointing individual performances today. It seems our attacking play has been reduced to knocking long balls up field and hoping for the best.
Seriously just hate football. No point even competing if the ref is going to side with the big club every time. Give up.
So sad. Feels like we are paying the price of a Blatter scale football abuse situation. Who the hell have we upset this much? I think they call that, going down at the optimal time.
Funny how the push on Hoedt was more of a foul than Austin's was. Almost as if one happened to a Top 6 team...
The only bright side is getting out of this ****ty division with its absolutely blatant bias towards a few clubs.
I would try and think up something witty and optimistic to say but I am so dead after this season. I feel the players have shown their cards and almost all of them have no desire or fight, even with Swansea as one of our remaining and most critical fixtures. We can complain as much as we like about dodgy reffing today but we probably played 10 minutes out of 90 of proper football. The other 80 was us knocking it out of play, conceding poor goals and Lemina losing possession.
We deserve to go down and we deserve not to go to Wembley. We aren't rich enough. We aren't in the right place geographically. We aren't big enough, but not small enough to be plucky underdogs. We don't have enough history. We don't have enough friends in the media. All our best players "deserve" a move somewhere "better" and our fans "deserve" nothing. Forget it. Football's corruption is entrenched so deeply in the media "story" that the glass ceiling isn't even made of glass any more. They cemented it over.
