I'm surprised Newcastle don't own St Jame's and that in such a place of high unemployment and poverty that the local council spent the money on the rebuild (sounds a bit familiar), but as they're a one club city they wouldn't have faced much opposition.

I think they're planning to get the apartments done first then use the revenue from that for the stadium

The tenants will be living next to a building site so they'll have to spin it as "watch history happen" and appeal to fans rather than just rich people

Once the stadium is complete they can always hike the rent and get rich people in
