Came from out of the clouds to win comfortably after he looked beaten two out Singlefarmpayment running back on his favoured ground & on a good mark ran a cracker just missing out by a sort-head Captain Cattistock was right there until making a mistake at the final hurdle definitely costing him a place

Indeed ! I noticed the authorities were concerned about the horses welfare during the flat season last summer when several of them were overheating or struggling with their breathing so I suppose this decision was always on the cards especially with the much longer distances over the sticks
I think it should be up to the trainers/owners like it always has - if they think their horses welfare is in jeopardy. withdraw them. Horses are in just as much danger sprinting for 5 furlongs in the heat than the jumpers are !

Another disappointing day although Sizing Platinum running on strongly from the rear not quite catching the winner which could have made a big difference Just Cameron fell at the first What A Shot ran on from the rear to take 4th missing out on a place Shimba Hills & Spiritofchartwell were very disappointing
