I’m uncomfortable with some Arsenal fans being happy that he’s leaving at the end of the season, They should be careful what they wish for, I think they’ll struggle next season because of the new manager and the squad that they have. I don’t mind Claude but he said it was a great day for Arsenal yesterday regarding Wenger leaving them, I’m sorry, But he should be respecting Wenger for what he did for that club personally.
He stayed too long and has dug them into a hole. With that stadium and the resources they have they should have been doing a lot better over the last decade. He was on side with the business side of the club and should have been more concerned with buildings a successful team.
... but how do you judge success? ... the vast majority of football fans in this country ... particularly outside the bubble that is the Premiership... would see 3 trophies in the last 4 seasons as successul by anyone's definition ... only English clubs that have done better in that period would be City, Chelsea, Leicester City and, more debatably, Man United ...
... Will start to fade soon ... taking the piss out of the FA Cup semi final losers will undoubtedly take precedence
They should have been challenging for more and more often, you can't always win but when you're a club of that size you should be challenging for the league and the other trophies on a consistent basis.
I would imagine Arsenal fans aren't wishing for a continued decline so it's definitely the right thing. They just need to get the right manager in, not **** it up like United did. All the tools are there. Well not all, half the players are ****e, but the new man can refresh the squad.
They have won 3 trophies in the last 4 seasons and only been out of the top 4 once (so far), how do you rate that against other clubs of "that size" ?
I feel they should be right up there given the location and stadium etc. Chelsea have outdone them is that right? They've become a business and Wenger is part off that, they see success as top 4.
So you didn't mean the bit about challenging for trophies then? I thought Chelsea (and City) only out done people because sugar daddies
Sorry I got it wrong, I have been informed you support Swansea. On a serious note have you done a video yet for the FA cup semi yet, HIAG is looking forward to it.
