Well A) the players are nervous enough without the added pressure of fans on their case. B) It's pathetic hoping the team loses, regardless of how we are playing.
Here I go Outdoor bowls season commences tonight My club Middleton-On-The-Wolds play Hutton Cranswick (which includes three ex-Middleton players) so always a bit of a needle match. They battered us last season & to be honest I'm expecting another heavy loss as the majority of our nine players haven't bowled a wood in practice due to the greens resembling bogs all down to the persistent rain, we've had over the last couple of months. Thank god the sun has come out & hopefully dried the greens up somewhat. I'll be surprised if we win one of the three rinks ! Only consolation is tonight's match is like a home match for me as Cranswick is only two miles away
Players are not nervous they are not up to the task. Every owner since 606 started has deserved exactly what I give them. No need to argue as both the above are statements that stand up to scrutiny based on all available evidence.
