Wow. This Board, representing the fans game atmosphere, representing the on field team performance. Dead. Even I have found it a struggle to post. Doesn't seem anything else to say. The way it was early in the season has continued. So just copy and paste. I don't even know if I want to see another live game this season. Not enjoyed one yet all season. Just been such a dirge. The 3-2 against Reading is the only win I can remember, and they were the worse team I have seen, and we only just scraped that. If I get asked by mates or family if I want to see a game I will go, of course. I don't see any point in actively trying to get a ticket to watch this. It's like pulling nails.
Roll on another summer of sales, contract wrangling and "who he?". I think that's what the club and this board need. Of course it won't bring harmony, but it'll get us all talking!
<hitsnailonheademoji> IMO FML, you've summed up the feelings of MOST wh post on here. I was planning on getting a ticket for the game V Leeds, so that I could see my hero get POTS and before he departs CR, as he has been the one player who has stood out this season. Naturally, he'll be a MASSIVE loss and Cantwell or whoever replaces him may never quite reach his standard and that's something we'll just have to accept. As for the Board, HOW on earth did they not think to upgrade the facilities at Colney when we went up to the PL after winning at Wembley; instead of signing Naismith/paying off AN/paying off Moxey - in any other business, the lot of them would have been sacked without fail. Edit - WOW, IF SW could pull this off, I'll be a lot more interested in going to home games next season - 'Daniel Farke wants Harrison Reed and Moritz Leitner back at Norwich City next season.' DF feeling positive re the loans of Godfrey, Morris and Cantwell, but says they each have LOTS to prove in pre-season to be included in the first team squad. #sensible http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...morris-matthews-cantwell-to-kick-on-1-5478660 I'm hopeful they can all 'step up to the plate' and become key players for us next season!!! #hereshoping
It sounds counterintuitive, but whilst in the Premier League our club focussed too much on staying there, and not enough on preparing for promotion from the championship. Whilst I've no doubt the fans would have moaned if we'd put several million into the academy rather than bought Naismith, to have made no lasting improvements to the club beyond the playing squad is seriously negligent.
Something Burnley did when they were first back in the Prem in 2014. Took the riches that came with finishing 19th, came back down and bought a striker and went straight back up again a whole lot stronger and better prepared for the challenges of the Premier League. Not doing too badly from that approach either.
With the benefit of hindsight, perhaps we should have done that after winning promotion under Neil. Looking back, we knew that squad couldn't defend, and an awful lot of money was tied up in players away from the club.
What. The F**k. Even after those replays, I dunno what that was given for. Let alone how ridiculous the late decision was!
For some reason I was doing some digging through old transfer threads, and came across some real gold. Circa 2012: "Salah looks like an Egyptian Snodgrass"
- but A. He doesn't fall over at every opportunity and in fact, several of his goals have resulted from him 'riding' tackles in the box. B. He can RUN!!!!
Me too, would not go if you paid me. Putin has highjacked OUR tournament. Why FIFA are still sucking up to this tyrant is beyond me
