I'm going to repeat what I started earlier cos Sam Lyon says on BBC that the ref is having a "splendid" game: And now he refuses a handball from a backpass to the keeper AND "doesn't see" another trip on Suarez in the box. And I generally like to give refs their fair due. Carroll to wrap it up, perhaps.
The great thing about this squad is that if someone is off form there are others to pick up the slack, it's been a while since we have had that.
What a cross from Downing. Carroll needs to start gambling on the crosses rather than standing still and waiting for the cross to come to him.
Hopefully once Carroll starts to gets used to the quality delivery of Downing & Henderson from wide then he'll start banging them in. A few more weeks of training should sort that out I think. Lucas has been my man of the match today. He's been fantastic. I think he gave the ball away once in the whole match and has totally dictated the play.
