Amos, Konsa, Bauer, Pearce, Page, Marshall, Kashi, Reeves, DaSilva, Magennis, Ajose. Aribo looked knackered, so I rest him
Julian - Ivor May Dick - Nigel (obviously) Anne - Jeddez George - Jonkool Timmy the Dog - Seriously Boring “The Famous Five Apologists”
**DRUM ROLL** 1-1 Draw - letting a lead slip late in the game. I reckon we'd lose to Portsmouth on Saturday and that'll totally blow our playoff chances. Either way I'll be in the pub, having a few whiskey's
Bowyer planning to make changes tonight - “I’ve said to lads it’s not good enough” “I think they are tired - especially the midfield three” Tired ?! Reeves has played about 10 games all season and Aribo is a young ‘un ?
Very harsh Mr van Gerwen, playing two games a week for six weeks does take a lot out of a professional footballer.
I thought Aribo looked tired, that's why he was subbed. Thank goodness Fosu is back, and Kashi is a natural replacement for JFC, an improvement even. I thought we had a midfield 4, not 3. Teams seem to have sussed out our style under Bowyer, just as they did with Robinson, although it's doubtful if any system would work with 2 non-tryers, KaiKai and Zyro in the attack.
I would agree with him. Three wins absolute minimum, and preferably a draw as well. It's not impossible that Plymouth or Scunthorpe or Peterborough or Portsmouth could suffer a late collapse in form, but it is extremely unlikely that two of them will, which is what Charlton need to happen now. I am not happy about this "tired" excuse either - and it is a tired excuse. Shrewsbury went all the way to the Checkatrade trophy Final as well as getting further than we did in the FA Cup. Are they going to be tired tonight? Perhaps their manager might mention it if we beat them, but even so he would have more grounds to talk about it than Lee Bowyer.
Lee Bowyer has made six changes - a positive move at least. It's up to those players he has brought in now to prove themselves. Our season could be decided in the next 90 minutes of football; We live to fight another day, or our play-off hopes are ended.
