Gutted, as stated needed to not give wigan the 3 points today, if they beat us again we are 6 behind a team who we are competing against, bad stratagy today. - I would have given paddy a shovel, sand bags and some guns, dig trench and defend postion. RE: Neil hater comments - Most clubs dont sell they best defender before replacing him. or do they? Didn't see today, but swords said this might happen as Warnock seems to think the season starts against newcastle. No it ****ing doesn't it started 3 weeks ago Neil. I'm not a hater but wtf is he doing with our defence. he's been there for a while cash or no cash. 3 points will matter come end of season even if we survive we need to maximise position to maximise revenue. or do we have a 30,000 seater stadium lined up? Stop buying stikers/midfielders and get some bloody defender and quick. - By the way are we keeping a count on these unlucky deflections ? cause that statement 'unlucky deflection' really pisses me off and sound like what I might say to my son if his team lost. Aren't deflections cased by **** defenders not making the challenges well enough ? Team is looking strong enough in most areas but defence and cover for Paddy is a must. Peace.
Scored 1 conceded 6. Not sharp enough up front or at the back. Dress it up how you like but today we needed a point minimum and we handed the match to Wigan on a plate
I still can't help thinking that there is a lot of over reacting to this result. OK, let's dress it up differently. If we'd drawn our 3 games, we'd have the same number of points. What would the reaction to that have been? Personally, I'd have been happy with that. I think everyone thought we would turn Wigan over, but they, & all other teams in this league are no mugs, that's why they're there!
With no full backs available and Dave ploughing a lonely furrow up front what did you expect? Warnock was merely underlining our frailties at present, not helped by the Goons not allowing him to get players in earlier, and the fact we will be much stronger come the Newcastle match. All those criticising him know much of this has been out of his hands, Gorkss wouldn't have made much difference today. Once all the signings are made and we've played 5 or 6 games with them we'll have a better idea of whether Warnock should be slated or not...
**** thread, can't believe you all bit. And WBA2 chin up mate, that pie must've been a shocker, cos the performance wasn't that bad.
On a plate? Really? The team worked hard had a couple of good chances and were a mite unlucky. It was far from our first team, and given that our first team is far from premiership standard (pre recent and possible future signings) it was anything but a woeful capitulation as others have suggested. PatA is poor - there is no doubt about it - but the idea that *anyone* here knows better than Colin is laughable. If he picks someone it's because the options he has at the moment are severely limited and he believes it is the best option available. No-one is infallible, but Colin has been dealt a ****ty hand by the Goons - he's doing his best and if we go down by a point it won't be because we got beaten at Wigan in the third game of the season. 3 games 3 points, and as Hoops Eternal says below any one of you would have taken that at the start of the season.
Didn't see the game today (having a Wubba style lunch in Majorca, excellent Rioja ). Given the team result seems predictable, but SSN said we tired badly second half. Those who saw any truth in this? Perhaps the virus hit more players than we know as Neil was very gung ho on fitness a couple of weeks ago.
Come on here ???? I have been here longer than you and have posted more, Have I ever been to a game?????? I was there today, nearly home where were you?
WBA...........you seem to have changed your tune somewhat. A few weeks ago you were arguing strongly that the current squad was much better than some were suggesting. Bad pie?
No need to get rude here mate. It´s start of the season and everyone is getting a little exited at times.
Didn't Neil/Colin sign Hulse and clarke. had they not both been utter **** and injured would we be play Dave? had time to replace him, didn't get it right........ Neil has to take some blame on his limited options up front!
Result is of course poor but again proved we can play at this level with a weakened team . I imagine we will chewing the fat now for hours because we lost and how certain players are useless if this carrys on then we will be calling for NW's head Nice show of passion by everyone I have ordered that two of my swans be killed because we lost and as I am in my Dorset holiday home I may have one of the locals crucified in wicker man style What are we becoming
We were good value for the first 35 minutes and then slowed the pace allowing them to gain the momentum and then it was an uphill struggle, I hope it's the virus because otherwise there's a complete lack of apathy in the team and the Dunkirk spirit has turned to falkirk spirits! Faurlin and Buz were far too lethargic shame because early doors Wigan were their for the taking.
