Aina doing the presser with Nige this afternoon.

    Aina up first.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. It's my first loan spell and, even though it's been difficult at times, it's still been a positive experience and has helped me mature into a man."

"Football-wise, I've leant an awful lot. The Championship is totally different to anything I've experienced before. It's not like U23s football and I've learnt how to judge games better - when and where to do things and when and where not do things."

(on working with Nigel Adkins): "He’s put a level of confidence and trust into me. He’s talked to me and he’s played me. He’s put trust and confidence in me and that has been a massive help."

"Whatever side the manager picks, it doesn't matter. We're a team and we're all singing from the same hymn sheet. It'll be another tough game at the weekend but we go into the match with confidence on the back of recent results."

"I fancy us to win our next four games, you can feel the confidence growing in the group. There have been lots of changes, but everyone is coming in and doing well. I just want us to finish the season strongly - that's our only aim."

    Adkins up next...

"We're alright in terms of injuries and it was good to see Jarrod out on the training pitch with the rehab guys today, which is a positive. We’ll see how he responds to find out if he’s available for the weekend or not."

"We've got a really good mentality within the group and that's showing in both our performance and results. There's a real togetherness within the squad and the connection between the players and supporter right now is fantastic."

"The beauty of football is everyone has an opinion on what the team should be. As always, we’ll take a look at what changes we can make and whether people like Abel Hernández, Jon Toral and Jarrod Bowen come back into the side."

"Everybody is totally focused on Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday. The whole group is contributing and we need to put in another good performance if we want to pick up the next three points. I want us to continue our momentum."

"We are building the mentality and infrastructure and we want to finish the season well. I’d also like there to be a pathway for youngsters to come through, people like Dan Batty and Tyler Hamilton. Everybody is in my mind to play."

"Seb knows I would love him to stay at this club. He's a role model for everyone. I want to keep McGregor, he’s been outstanding this season - he knows I want him here. There are a lot of players I’d like to keep, but that’s the business side of it."

"We’re building towards next year and I have to do my bit. I’d like to think the structure is right here and the players are enjoying it. I want to be here and I’m enjoying being the Hull City manager."

    The end.

Adkins on out of contract players: Seb knows i would love him to be at this football club. He is a role model for everybody . There are a lot of players I’d like to keep, but that’s the business side of it. I want to keep McGregor, he’s been outstanding this season. Allan knows I want him to be here.

He also mentioned wanting Aina back next season if Chelsea want him to have another year away.

Also mentioned maybe getting Tyler Hamilton and Dan Batty some game time in the last few games.

If we don’t sign McGregor we are mental. He’s been outstanding and I am his critic! Just wish we could find a suitor for Marshall and Mannion would be a suitable understudy although he may want some game time.

Wouldn’t mind Aina for another year he’s greatly improved.

Not so bothered about Larsson and Meyler keeping one would be nice.

Not gonna be happening but I’d be offering Hernández 50k a week we can’t replace his goals no chance. Not so bothered about Grosicki cash in I say.

Just gonna be another summer of misfits kind with boy wonder in charge.

Not bothered about keeping Larsson? The guy is ****ing exemplary on and off the pitch. Hanging onto him is a no-brainer in my opinion. Sadly, I think you're right about the summer. I hope someone has told numb nuts the window closes at the start of the season now!

Aye, other than Hernandez, I'd have Larsson top of the list of outgoing players to try and hang on to.

To most owners it would be logical to offer Hernandez a fortune in wages to stay as to replace him it's going to cost 15m....the issue is we won't replace with him!

Larsson and McGregor are the top two I'd say, only ones that have been consistently good over the full course of the season.

Agree with OLM about Hernandez. I don't think we've a cat in hells chance of keeping him. Wouldn't mind another season with Aina, he seems to be improving with every game. Surely it would more prudent to try to hang on to those players rather than paying through the nose again in signing on and agents fees replacing them?

A large amount of wishful thinking here, I'm afraid, when Ehab the Spiteful is determined to leave the Club in the state it was in when the Allams acquired it...

Your first sentence, suitably amended and the last one, kind of say it all.

There will have been a supermarket sweep by the time pre season starts again.

Adkins has done well since coming into the club, better than i thought he would i admit i'm not his biggest fan, but give credit where it's due he's done well after a dodgy start. .
Now he get to the part of his Hull city career where he realizes, he's been ****ed without any foreplay, its called the close season, were Knobhead informs him that due to interest in the club by a consortium of investors all transfer's and contract talks are put on hold till further notice.
The day after the window closes, surprise, surprise the prospective buyer pull's out, Knobhead expresses his regret at the deal falling through, and off we go again with half a squad and several loans, as the toxic two pocket the parachute money, welcome to the wonderful world of Hull City Mr Adkins.

Just read this in the Bristol post..it’s about their next 3 fixtures. I think they should also be very aware of one Harry Wilson,
Glad to see their papers are wairy of the mighty Hull city.. They seem to think Middlesbrough and Forrest will give them the best chance of wins...Oh how times change...

Don’t let Hull City’s league position down in 16th fool you. Nigel Adkins’ side have had a recent resurgence in the league with just one defeat in the last seven matches.

The Tigers have scored nine goals in their last two games – five goals at Burton Albion and four goals at home to QPR.

Prior to that, Hull impressed with successive draws to league-leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers and fourth-placed Aston Villa.
With Jarrod Bowen scoring 13 and assisting 14 so far, Bristol City will have to be wary of his attacking flair. Kamil Grosicki, too, will be a threat to City’s backline, having scored and assisted nine goals respectively.

If there’s a potential slip up for City, this could be it. A win versus Middlesbrough would put even more emphasis on this fixture that promises to produce goals.

To be fair, Nige said about inflating the inflatables. I expect him to follow through.

Was just reading one of their forums and all they seem concerned about is listing the biggest teams in Yorkshire 1 to 10 with one excluding us cos they don't class us as Yorkshire which is funny coming from a team in Derbyshire
