    2.20 Aintree- Beau Gosse-16/1ew

Was a very good 3rd at the Adonis behind Redician. That was his first race on good ground. Now back to his favoured ground in which he has been running on all year. He will feel more back at home. Interestingly owned by Munir and Isaaac who also of course have Wehaveadream. Who I can’t have the form is no way strong enough beating the likes the sussex ranger etc.. nothing has come out from that. Apples Shakira could come out and absolutely smash these but I was extremely disappointed with her at Cheltenham and tbh she didn’t have many excuses apart from not settling and i am finding it hard to forgive her (which is very unlike me and I love the horse too) but at the prices the french horse stood out to me as a banging ew bet especially with performance in the last few weeks of the French Horses coming over here!! As mentioned on this ground hard to see him out the places!!

    3.25 Aintree- Diakali- 25/1ew

Abit of a shot in the dark on this horse but has massively gone under the radar imo. Supersundae is the most likely winner of this and will be hard to beat. Howver my pick 3rd on this race in 2014 and was last seen beating Jezki and Stars over The Sea this time last year. Which doesn’t read to bad. He has had his injury problems and is a massive worry Howver his price reflects that. First run for Gary moore who is an extremely shrewd character. He was a very talented horse and if he can show any of his previous form of his last race in a very weak renewal of this race , Gary will have him spot on
He will run from the front and at his price I’m willing to play a small ew on that he does retain some of it

    5.15 Aintree - Getaway Katie Mai 5/2

Won her debut very well Knew what she had to do, then was put away till the Fairyhouse festival where she was Second to the subsequent Cheltenham bumper winner. She ran all the way to the line and the form of that race has been boosted with the 3rd running well at Cheltenham and anothey winner coming out of it she looks an extremely smart horse and the trainer has a good record at this track and the fact she missed Cheltenham is a positive and will be very hard to beat

    Aintree 4.40 KINGS SOCKS @ 5/1

Caught the eye in the Brown Plate at the Festival jumping and travelling well as anything but eventually found the 2m4f trip on very soft ground against him, finishing 5th behind The Storyteller. This drop back to 2m looks sure to suit and the 6yo had some strong form in his native France, finishing 2nd to both Footpad and Adrien Du Pont and beat another fair sort in Optimus Prime(won his last three for Dan Skelton). That form makes him look well in here on 140 and he must go well on just his third start for the Pipes.

Back to my favourite day of the year. The day I go racing with my sons. This year is even more special as the youngest has flown in from Sweden to keep up to tradition.
Good luck to all and if anyone is there please let me buy you a beer.

Work tomorrow but Aintree on Friday and for a brief moment looked like it was hob nobbing in owners and trainers only to be thwarted by a minor setback to the horse.

Just the one for me RAAQYAH 2.30 Southwell (11/4) shaped with a huge amount of promise when third on debut in a warm maiden at Newcastle. Godolphins newcomer (8/11) will have to be very useful to get the better of her first time up and the value here is with Roger Varians runner, there has to be question marks over the fav only making her first start now as a 4yo with a hood fitted on debut and having to concede 15lbs to the younger filly.

    1.45 Cyrname (NAP)
    2.20 Apple's Shakira
    2.50 Tea For Two
    3.25 Supasundae
    4.05 Balnaslow
    4.40 Tommy Silver
    5.15 Duhallow Gesture

Can't see Cyrname getting beaten in the first. Brain Power was flattered massively by his second in the Arkle when the race fell apart and Finian's Oscar has been all over the place this year. Rene's Girl would need to step up a long way to challenge and Modus surely won't like the ground. Cyrname skipped Cheltenham where he has the form of his second to Terrefort boosted as he ran a blinder in the JLT. He since came out and won easily at Kempton in a Grade 2 where he made a bad mistake and still bolted up. If he gets beaten I will be amazed.

Might Bite should take all the beating in the Bowl but horses that have run well in the Cheltenham Gold Cup have an awful record in this so I'm happy to let him win at odds on. Tea For Two was not far behind MB in the King George and won this race last year and should give it a good shot today.

Supasundae really should be winning the Aintree hurdle. His form is head and shoulders above what any of these have achieved this season. Evens is a good price for a horse that should really be 4/6 or shorter.

Good luck everyone that plays today!

Greetings Brough, nice to see you on here again :)

I'm with you on the three named horses, especially Cyrname who has been doing me favours all season. I had Rene's Girl in my tracker since her Doncaster win and will have to have a saver on her now, even though I think she will be out of her depth. And likewise I took a long hard look at Tea For Two, before plumping for Might Bite, but like Chelsea says - rfc might be a good shout. Supasundae looks nailed on.

Other races are covered by Apples Shakira, settling better in a hood and getting back to her brilliant best, Wells De Lune in the Foxhunters, Doitforthevillage, and rounding off the day with Cedar Valley in the bumper, which looks to be the most open race on the card.

    Good luck lads.

PS: I have also done the ITV7 for the first time ever!
