Indeed it will. And next season, if Duchatelet is still the owner and Lee Bowyer is still our manager? Granted fans can buy tickets on a match-by match basis if they are unsure about future developments, but a season ticket will save money in the long run as well as a certain amount of inconvenience buying and printing tickets etc. For me, renewing my season ticket and going to the Valley to support the team is not a political act, or a statement of principle. Others may disagree, that is fair enough.
I will not buy a season Ticket while the Belgian is our owner.... I am not anti everything. I am anti people who have dragged our Club through the mire for over four years. I am anti the apologists who back this dismantling of OUR CLUB and turn a blind eye because they are bought by a free ticket to the Directors lounge. I have supported OUR CLUB for fifty seven years home and away. I have decided, not been coerced by anybody else, that I will not be buying a Season ticket if Duchatelet is still here. As regards Royston, we don't always agree, but I respect his opinion as a lifelong Charlton fan. To say he wants the limelight is nonsense. Lardiman is quite big enough to argue his case himself. He made a decision to post on ITTV. A forum where the moderator has threatened me via an e mail. He has also sent me a message via MSN Messenger making horrible comments about my Family. He has copied photographs of my Family and posted them as his Avatar. Perhaps some of your moral outrage can be directed towards him. I don't believe Royston has threatened anyone. Noted and as your mod clearly agrees with your sentiment I am done here. my final comment would be that in no way am I defending those who are apologists and put self interest above anyone else. Bit sad as Charlton have always been my second team and have until last year always got to a game or two. I too didn't want to give RD my cash , but it was a choice made in private.
