Never said they would be but they are all contracted I think. Don't know if Diomande is still? If they do go then we will be buying a cheaper version, lower league with potential or hoping another youth steps up. That's where we are now.
I think Moses could be offered an appearance based deal, I think that would be fair considering he's been out for 2 years. We've put plenty of effort into getting him back to just let someone else take a chance. Who would take Evandro on, aren't we stuck with him?
That team isn't terrible but Campbell has 5 in 32, we need an out and out goalscorer as we have seen the difference Hernandez has made. I also don't want to see a central player (Toral) on the wing, we have seen what a bit of quality out wide in Wilson can add to the team. Great signing as it has given us so much balance. Toral also has 1 goal and 3 assists in 24 games which is pretty poor. I also don't rate Stewart at all and would love to see Meyler there (I know it won't happen). That team has bottom mid table written all over it, but Chazz is right that is where we are. My issue is with 38m in parachute payments and the profit from last seasons sales we should have a much better squad. I agree we have to live within our means, however, we more money coming in than probably 16/17 teams in this division so we should be up the top end of the season.
To be fair, looking at the players we will have next season, we only really need to buy a few players and sign some prem youngsters on loan and we'll have a decent team. The worry for me is replacing Wilson and Hernandez.
Does anyone else suspect our recent good form is down to players playing for a new contract elsewhere? I do.
No. Evidence has been there since nige came in. Our downfall is lack of physicalityand we're we've been turned over. Plus having a quality cenner forward has helped a tiny tiny bit
the main reason we've started to click is having a good centre midfield pairing creating chances for the forwards - no giving the ball away constantly and no trotting around aimlessly like they don't give a ****
Ye the centre midfield of Meyler and henriksen against wolves, by far the best team in the league, was excellent. I can see you agree.
In the 11 games that have followed the 2-1 loss at Preston North End, perhaps the season’s bleak nadir, City have collected 18 points. Only five clubs in all the division (Wolves, Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Millwall and Fulham) can better that rate of productivity and all have genuine hopes of playing Premier League football next season.
Usually Abel is very reluctant to leave the pitch but he seemed very happy to come off yesterday - possibly still lacking just a bit of match fitness after his long lay off but also he might appreciate the value of an easier recovery before Tuesday's game.
Thought we were right up for it from the off, whilst DQPR must have been plotting their holidays all week....they were $HITE Someone said that Steve McClaren was there again on Saturday. Hopefully, the bid is sealed and the business has been done...
He was. He's looking to do a deal for the club with Adam Pearson and the original backer who AP was involved with. Whether it will come off...who knows
Evandro has buggered off back to Brazil to recuperate Stan, from what I don't know. No idea with the other two. Nige doesn't tell
